Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then they put the left leg out... and so it went....

The song is known as the Hokey-Cokey in England - I wonder how those Brits dance to this song.

...I always assumed the hokey cokey was one of ours. But apparently you gave it to us. You say it's pokey rather than cokey as well, which will cause much amusement amongst single women of a certain age. Particularly the ones with blue rinses and hair nets.

As to how we dance to it, well do you really need to ask? It is the sort of thing I last did in 1977 at the Queen's Silver Jubilee. I was 9.
