As usual, the proper view is probably somewhere in the middle of "hold the Mall responsible for all that occurs" and "the money talks" extremes.  Would we hold the publisher of The Yellow Book responsible for printing a dentist's listing adveritsing "pain free service" if we needed aspirin, tylenol, or percodan after having a tooth extracted or a cavity filled?  Of course not.  The misled us, not the book publisher.
The Malls cannot and should not be guarantors of what necessarily is a subjective experience with advertisers. We are not only dealing with matters of each customer's individual tastes, we are dealing with the advertiser's right to decline service (partially or fully) and to establish personal rules.  Moreover, the Mall is trying to balance on the thin line between commercial advertising and illegal solicitation and procuring across state lines. If we were to hold it responsible for the services -- they might as well just reach for the phone and call the lawyer or shut down voluntarily.
But, the Malls or bulletin boards can be held responsible for clearing the legitimacy and accuracy of photos, phone numbers, locations and other verifiable data. If verifiable data is inaccurate and not corrected, then by all means boycott the Mall.

Anyone else amazed at the number of ads on escort malls which stay up long after the ad has proven to be a ripoff on the TER boards?

Wondering whether or not there's a way to notify the mall operators once several reviews have been posted about an ad clearly being false...  Of course, it's up to the integrity of the escort mall operator, but perhaps enough complaints will force the malls to a) verify more photos and/or b) avoid accepting ads which include such obvious scammage as recognizable model/pornstar photos (unless it's the pornstar herself, of course).

Anyway, I know that "caveat emptor" applies here, but in the spirit of helping out newbies (weren't we all, once?), it's an idea...

...and before anyone attacks this post for being naive, save your keystrokes...I'm well aware of how wide-eyed I sound...:-)

PS: Unlike other posters, I've found the Eros board (LA) to be by far the most full of scammage...

"We appreciate feed back from our visitors and appreciate your concerns.  However, what takes place in a session between one of our advertisers and their clients can not practically be of our concern. As a corporation and on-line advertising venue our responsibility and dedication surrounds the production of a user friendly, fast loading website for our visitors and a non biased vehicle for advertisers to post services.

Can you imagine DealeyDaly, if we concerned ourselves or got involved in every post (many, which we know for sure to be factually untrue) in the news groups or the complaints we get about what goes on (or does not go on) in a session with one of our advertisers. We would be in a different business. We wouldn't have time to do our jobs.

Our "Truth in advertising Policy" reflects "our" policy. Not our
advertisers. We cannot be responsible for every thing they do. However, we do what we say - We screen advertisers in person & strive hard to provide actual, honest real photos of TM advertisers. At least, as much as humanly possible, given our advertisers business and the photo standards "YOU GUYS"
have accepted. And that's "A JOB IN ITSELF"!

From what we understand, as far as photos are concerned and even the quality of our advertiser's services (generally speaking) our reputation is the most dependable.

We wish you good luck in the pick of the draw and hope you will continue to bet on thatmall as your best bet."

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, the ol' Pick-of-the-Draw!  I'm starting to see the light..........

I hope that this sheds a little light on the subject.

If the advertsing agent or agency does not believe in truth of advertising or won't so the right thing, I suggest we Boycott them. If we don't call the providers who advertise on this site, they will stop advertising. The agency will learn that they can't play games with us.

They just take the girl's money to run her ad. They have no responsibility for her service or performance. The consensus is that ThatMall is one of the most responsible malls (along with SouthCoastVIP, and maybe others) about only using real pictures. They are not perfect; I've seen girls whose photos on ThatMall were phony. But, at least they were close enough to not be a gross misrepresentation. And in the great majority of cases in my experience, the photos on ThatMall have been real. Also, I have heard of several instances where a hobbyist notified them of a phony photo, and they took it down. So, they are doing a much better job, IMO, than most of their competitors.

Why don't you get on Cityvibe, or Exotics (as in LA-Exotics), or Eros? I wonder if they would even bother to send you a response.

It just seems to me that an Advertising Mall may be interested in owning the reputation of being accurate, honest and reliable. It seems to me that kind of reputation would be good for business. Then again, if they were, we wouldn't need TER.
