I have to give credit where credit is due here.  I just read a post by aphroditez that really intrigued me.  To paraphrase she mentioned that a hobbyist had contacted her for a session and she recognized his voice so she ended up standing the guy up.

I'm wondering if any providers have ever recognized a hobbyists voice on the other line as someone that they knew?  And if so, what did you do to deal with the situation.

A year or so ago a gent contacted me and said he was introigued by my site and we chatted for awhile. He kept telling me that I looked so familiar and he couldnt place where.....

well to make a long story short...he was my High School Biology teacher...LOLOLOL Found out after talking and recognizing his name.

Needless to say I declined his offer to get together but directed him elsewhere and he was fine.

Its one for the memories for sure...

I had a session with a guy that I found out after the fact used to work with my FATHER! Of course I didn't let on that I knew and I gracefully got out rather quickly.

Holy cow, Lass! I had something similar happen to me, but the gentleman in question was my Abnormal psych professor. I recognized his name and asked if he was a professor at such-n-such University. He, of course, answered "uh...yyyyyyes".

you know, the funny thing here is that i think it'd be great!  i mean, imagine calling a provider and it turns out to be a woman you always wanted to be with, but never had the chance to!

i can think of a couple girls in school who i'd love to meet in this hobby!  that'd almost be like a bonus, a fantasy come true.  maybe someday... LoL

Well, I have a sort of reverse twist on that... I have a young female employee who I found out is escorting (pics clear as day on Eros) but I have of course never mentioned it to her, nor to anyone I know. Sort of my private secret; I expect she would be horrified (unjustifiably) if she knew I knew.

Its not really surprising... I took her out for drinks one evening a few months ago (before I knew she was escorting, and maybe before she had started) and she confessed that she was bored and dissatisfied with her life (as only a 22 year old can say...) and I suggested she take a year and travel, take pictures, write, have adventures. She countered with the affordability issue to which I replied "adverturers find a way".

Looks like she took the advice to heart!

In Another life, I was in LE...I know, I know...I had a session about a year ago with a client, we had a great time and during the Pillow Talk portion, we both were stumped as to where we recognized each other from. As we chatted, he revealed that he used to have a gun shop in the city I used to live in. I used to buy my ammo and targets for practice, from his store..!!! We had a good laugh, since he reminded me that I had turned down his advances once back then..!!! How funny that was.... Then just last month I got an email from my youngest sons BEST FREIND (since kindergarten) He said he subscribed to Playboy and there had been an article refering to TER. He decided to do a search of the area Providers. After seeing the profile for Robyn/Palm Springs, he said he was impressed enough to check the website out. "WOW" was all he could say for about 10 min. LOL He was so shocked he called his wife to see...!!! After the initial shock wore off, he decided to email me and said...."Good for you"..!!! His wife said "You go girl"...!!! Yes, my friends it is indeed a small world..!!!

And both were very nice experiences because we both felt safe and secure in the other one.

As a lover of FBSM, I had an ATF.  We became friendly, but in this arena, she only wanted a friendship.  So we became provider/client again.  Through a twist of fate, I got her a temporary job with the company I worked for - but much to my surprise, she was hired on permanently! (While still attending school) We were both there approx. one more year, but it was an exquisite torture to see her almost every day.  Boy, was that weird!

Don't know if she knew him, but he knew her

he wrote to me and said, "I think I dated you." my response was well, "Now you have to pay for it."
It didn't bother me.

Providers out there that lead double lives. Yes the world is a big place, but did your private life and escort life ever accidently intersect? Ever get contacted by someone who was a friend or boyfriend of girlfriend? How did you balance your professionalism and your feelings for your friend. Did your identity ever get compromised because a hobbyist who you saw, later got introduced to you in your personal life through other social contacts? What the hell did you do??

WOndered if you ever reminded a SO that at some point in the relationship who was neglecting you or taking you for granted that he is lucky... and you could get $$$ for the time you spend.

I also think meeting up with a provider who happens to be a distant love or untouchable wonderment from highschool or college days would be a romp.  Especially from the highschool era when I was shy but friendly and repressed almost any sexual urge that came over me, and the good part of that now is that the girls knew it every time and quietly liked me for it.  I wasn't a wimp, mind you, looked good and played ball and dated and all, but was just too shy to really get it on with the girls and to afraid to give in when that's what they wanted.  So to have one of them standing there now when the door opens would be like a reunion of innocent memories and after the first few moments, a laugh-in beyond all proportions.  And I can think of several girls from work I'd react the same way to, although there it was propriety and not shyness that kept me at bay and again the girls knew it.  I can see the other side of all this, though, and guess it depends on the nature of the old relationship that determines how this sort of thing works out from both the hobbyist and provider points of view.

I contacted one once that I worked with.  I didn't realize it was her till she showed up at my house.

She was a super flirt at work and I always wanted her.  One of the best experiences that I ever had.  We had a load to talk and laugh about.  Especially since most of the other guys at work wanted her too.  If they only knew what she left the company to do!

I was at a small party when an old friend, his wife and her girlfriend arrived. I was playing backgammon and not paying to much attention as to what was going on or who was there. My friends  wife's girlfriend wanted to play the winner of my game. I won, and she sat down and we started to play. She looked familiar but I couldn't place her. Just as we finished the game I remembered that she was a provider that I had seen about 6 months prior. She had already recognized me and she could tell when I figured out who she was. I think she got a kick out of it. We just finished the game and nothing was said about our previous meeting.

Take a look at my note on this thread entitled "How about the reverse".  Can you imagine my ATF leaving the business, and then working at the same company as me for a year. Needless to say, she was pretty hot, something my assistant and I talked about a lot.  I was busting to tell him, but would never compromise her (or my) personal life.  He used to tell me I would light up when I saw her, and suspected we were possibly involved.

I can't wait to hear about the politician or cardinal who visited one of the ladies and gave her communion...


Sorry I am laughing so much at this thread.. These past few days on this board would make for wonderful reading in a sex education and pscychology class.  Both the humor and the serious advise intermixed in the right proportion have made reading and writing on these boards a true pleasure..
