haven't had it myself but know others who have. as you said, it's eminently treatable, so no biggie  ... just be glad you're HIV- and HCV-  (HepC may sound like it's less significant that HepA/B but as you know it sure as sh*t ain't -- interferon hell!)

on a serious note, one of my F's (as in not exactly an ATF, but still a F) tells me she has monthly STD tests done (including UTI, YI, etc) and HIV-antibody tests every 6 months with HIV/RNA ones once every year (just in case)

I asked for the Hep B vaccine at my doctor's office, and, because I had mentioned I was planning to travel out of the country, the nurse misunderstood and gave me the Hep A vaccine (I was planning to go to Germany, not a third-world country!).  I realized it right afterward, but had to wait until my next appointment to begin the Hep B series.  But, well, now I'm vaccinated against both.  After reading Sedona's account of her ordeal with Hep A, I'm really glad I'm protected against it!

Sexually active people should ask their doctors about getting the Hep B vaccine.  It's given to children now routinely as part of their childhood vaccinations.  The disease can kill you, and it's preventable.

Please don't forget about Hep C in all of this, especially for those of you who have multiple partners (most of us probably!)

The number of college educated (MS or greater) men who do not wash their hands before leaving the bathroom.  I would expect it from a construction worker.  Some days I feel like the only one who does.  It is just a courtesy if nothing else.
