Hi. I just purchased a  house  in  a gated community. There is  a security guard at the gate  as people come  in, who asks visitors for a Picture I.D.. I can always call ahead and say who I am expecting.but the picture ID  , well,I am afraid  some of my favorite  providers  will not  want to see me due  to this security measure> Any suggestions?Has  anyone else had to go through this?.. I do not want to  go outcall, as I enjoy the  time  in my  home, with a quiet drink, etc. Input appreciated.

1)  Meet her close by in your car and drive her to your house in your car (with the electronic gate pass). or,

2)  Get to know your Security gate people.  Be friendly, take'em donuts and stuff.  Then on the appointed day(s), let them know you have a visitor and ask them to pass them through without the I.D. check.  Accept full responsibility for any fallout. or,

3)  Let the provider know what she will encounter.  Most will not be threatened by a gated community (you have more to lose than they do).  Plus, fake ID's are ridiculously easy to get now.
they just need to be prepared for this little obstacle.

or, ....

I would have no problem with that, as a matter of fact I would feel safer, if something was to happen, at least there would be a record (they write the name and license plate I assume) of me being at that location, this is safer than going to say a hotel room or a house where no one would know you are there.

On the other hand, be careful that the guards are not gossiping or sending out reports about who and how many people come to see you.

Frankd, may I please respectfully differ?  I can't help being a contrarian sometimes.  About those options:

1.  NO ADDRESS?  I'd be worried about the judgment of any provider that would meet a first-time customer at a car.  Money ain't nothin' w/o safety.

2.  GUARDS: What rent-a-cop is not a frustrated police officer wanna be?  I'm not saying they're all that way or otherwise uncool but I bet some are and I wouldn't necessarily rely on a box of donuts to win their loyalty.  I'll never forget the day I was touring David Robinson's house, at the Dominion in San Antonio on the Parade of Homes, when a gate guard drew his weapon on a group of 30 or so of us.  I remember becoming very nervous when I noticed he'd eased the revolver's safety off...

3.  WHAT'S YOUR NAME, LITTLE GIRL? I'm not sure about the fake ID idea.  Hopefully most people, including most police, realize there are real criminals out there that need catching.  Call me hopelessly naive about LE matters, but I would be dismayed to think the average cop would waste his time busting a working girl that had committed no other offense.  Carrying a fake ID, however, would violate the "one crime at a time" precept.  She shouldn't carry that, an unlicensed firearm, drugs or do any would make it harder for LE to tend to more important matters.

Just FWIW,
Hopelessly Naive

Personally,,i think the best way to go is to meet at a resturant or elsewhere and drive the lady to your home.
this takes care of nosey security guards and i would think it would make the lady more comfortable.

this concerned me enough to comment:

"this is safer than going to say a hotel room or a house where no one would know you are there."

Hopefully, you have someone at ALL times know where you are and an idea of whom you are with??
Rather than discuss further on the boards, if you cared to, you can PM me, or email me: [email protected]

Security and safety is pretty big with me..

I am not comfortable with someone   picking up the  gal  in their  car, and again dropping her off... Some nut may never drop her off again.... Especially if she doesn't know the person from Adam (Sorry Adam, wherever you  are ).
I've gotten to know some providers by their real names, so  they will have no problem showing their drivers license as ID. I then place their names on my  "Permanet Visitors list" at the gatehouse.

If you are in California, she can go to the DMV, tell the clerk she just entered the country illegally and would like a driver's license.  They are so accommodating at the DMV, that if necessary, they can even find someone who speaks English to help her.
