I've just finished my weekly run through of the CV and Eros ads and was wondering...

*probably been asked before in the past*...
Why do some providers choose NOT to post their rates on the ads, other than sheer personal preference? I've called a few providers for rates and they actually sound annoyed that I'm asking. Do ladies sometimes hike up/lower rates based on a 5 minute conversation?

Or do they charge whatever they feel like at any given time (which is totally their right to do, of course)?

Just a nagging curiosity.
As for me, more info the better on the ad just so hobbyists get a better idea of what a session is going to include/cost.

Thanks in advance ladies. Be safe.

My feelings on this are similiar to yours, especially considering how dicey asking for information can be...if I have to ask questions, I pass...

Check those ads again maybe?  I don't put my rates on those ads because I insist that new friends READ my website before contacting me, as my ad states.  If someone contacts me from the Eros ad and asks my rate, I redirect them to my website.  It also shows they may not be someone I'd want to meet, an inability to follow simple instructions.

Many providers do not post their rates, because they will change their rate depending on where you found the ad.  For example, if you call & the first thing she asks you is, “Where did you see me advertise?” chances are likely she will base her rate on the answer.  She may have one rate for Craig’s List, another for Eros, & a third for the local City Paper.

She said she didn't feel comfortable putting rates on the ad because she felt it made LE's job easier.  I didn't necessarily agree with that line of thought, but it wasn't me putting an ad up that might get me arrested, either.

I finally asked if the rate listed on the TER review was correct, and she affirmed that it was.  I'm still not clear on how that kept her more secure, but it did all work out in the end.

If I don't get rate information before booking an appointment, then I just won't book one.  There are too many options available with clear policies to deal with a flaky person.

A provider explained to me once why she took her rates off of her Eros ad. On any given day she was willing to accept considerably less than the rate she posted in her ad. She wasn’t getting as many calls as she wanted. So she’s in a catch 22. If she posts her minimum acceptable rate, she doesn’t lose the cheapskate side of her potential customer base, but everyone would want that low rate. Post the higher rate and the cheapskates won’t bother calling, and she needs their business. Solution - don’t post any rate, feel each guy out on a case by case basis and try to extract as much out of him as she can. Just like a car salesman.

call a provider whose rates are not listed on either her ad or her website.  I would be too uncomortable as I would have concern that the person is a scammer.

My suspicion is if they don't post it, it's probably because they think we'll think it's too high, and it probably is.

. . . I like things to be clear and upfront.  My donation amount is posted on Eros, my website, my TER ad, my TBD ad and when I post on those last two sites I list my donation amounts.

Why add to confusion or misunderstandings?

them to read my website, see much more pictures of me(different angles, outfits, less makeup, more makeup and even a pic with NO make up on at all). I want them to be sure I am the type for them. My Donation's Page has all the rates and how to make an appointment with me. I am not a "last minute" kinda of gal that will show up 20 mins after you call me. I only see a few client/friends per week. That is just me. So I never put rates and phone# up on a Eros ad.I enjoy my job because of the money and because of the interesting , smart, kind gentlemen I meet. I want quality time with them not quckies. I have a high repeat with client/friends and we both enjoy that. Maybe some ladies who post their ads with rates and phone #s may be able to see you quickly and maybe are also in a hurry to stay busy and may not be looking for long term clients. I have tried having a direct# posted and I had so many men calling at all hours of the day and night wanting to know what I have already provided on my website. Take the time to read a ladie's site. She may surprise you with more pictures and insight into what type of experiance you two can share. If a lady is always changing her rates,I would stay clear. I think that unless she is offering a special, it makes her look pretty shady.

The lady I will be seeing tomorrow has no rates posted anywhere on her website. That kind of bothered me, but there is a rate indicated on her TER reviews page. She has five great reviews from hobbyists with multiple reviews. I contacted her by email, but she did not indicate her rate. I talked to her by phone a couple of days ago and still no mention of a rate.

The approach I will take is to put inside the envelope a little more than the rate listed on the TER reviews page, as that rate is slightly under the market for the town I will be visiting.

That's not the way it should work, but we'll see what happens.

Posting my rates and so forth on my website, often elimitates contact from those last minute callers. Booking with me usually requires at least 24 hrs notice. Although my rates are not listed on my Eros ad, there is a note saying to "Please see website for rates". I also do this because I offer packages and often have other important info (like my availability) someone should be away of before calling me.

Kisses,
Vanica

... this question goes out to the ladies without websites. Of course if they have a site, that generally solves all matters and inquiries (for indies anyway. The agency gold, silver, diamond, plutonium rating systems is a whole nother' thing)

Thanks to one and all for your replies, hobbyists and providers alike.

Asking or discussing the rate is LE red flag for me.  Sure is hard to let go of some of the fantastic pictures where I cannot find a rate :(

But you know whats sad????

I'll have rates listed on the ad AND my website.  The guy will STILL call and ask!? Something else that drives me nuts is when someone questions if they're going to actually have some fun during that time frame.

I'm like...first off, money exchanged is for time ONLY.  Secondly, you obviously haven't read my website OR reviews on various sites depicting my dates.

I personally do not feel comfortable discussing rates at ALL via phone, e-mail or IM. I've lost biz because of this, but I have a website and many reviews for a reason.  Some guys are AWESOME about checking me out first. Its the few guys out there that just make me shake my head in sadness for it must be the little man directing them through the ads.  lol

My 2 cents,
Ella

As I posted on the Chicago board, it makes me uncomfortable asking; only if it's a provider I've seen before I may ask about any specials or getting grandfathered into her old rates if she raised them.  It's a time waster for me and the provider to go back and forth via email, especially if the rate is too high.
