Jane Fonda was hot back then and in todays world that character would be sporting C's or D's...OMG
I saw it back in 71 but my head wasn't in it as I was with my GF in the theater, so my mind was elsewhere..
In today's TER I can see some reviewer give her a 9/6..He'd bitch about the "Upsell"...lol. But man she slick in asking.
So what's one of your fav "Hooker" movie? And Porn doesn't count.
Does Valley of the Dolls count??
Am I aging myself?

here as well.  I enjoyed it too.  I think having many years under our belts (no pun intended) in P4P gives us a little more insight into the things the hooker was dealing with than what we knew as young men.  Jane Fonda made a great hooker.  I would do her . . . . then, not now.  Lol

The recent Clint Eastwood movie , The Unforgiven had hookers pooling their money to come up with a reward to kill a man who disfigured a lady's face. The law  Gene hackman ,wouldn't do anything about it, so ladies did. Another movie with a hooker theme is , paint Your Wagon, and then  there is old classic ,.; From Here to Eternity. There so ,many movies with hooker themes or subplots.
To me one the most priceless segments of a movie is the first 20 minutes of the The Wild Bunch. The botched bank robbery, the insane bounty hunters positioned on a roof, the Temporence  League marching right into the holdup and ' finally the discovery of washers instead gold coins in money bags by the robbers .`This didn't have much of a hooker theme.

I thought Elizabeth Shue perfectly captured what its lien to work in Vegas, at least at the time when cell phones weren’t as con place and there was no online business (It was produced in 1996).  She hits in a guy in a casino hotel and I crushed because I’ve seen ladies do that in Atlantic City just last summer.  You never know if you’ll get a good client that way but not worth the risk IMO.

She was nominated for an Oscar but didn’t win, I really think she should have.  Nicolas Cage did win for his portrayal as a guy who has just given up on himself.. so many sad clients like him... I highly recommend seeing it.

Based on a an autobiographical novel by John O’Brien (who wrote for the “Rugrats” cartoon of all things), he killed himself after the movie rights were sold by his publisher.  I think it was a little too much for him to have his story on the big screen.  He wrote a few other novels about his adventures with strippers and escorts.  Definitely worth a read, especially since we have the time now.

Lesley Anne Warren was great...it was actually a mini series from the mid 70’s.  An attractive NY lady was drawn in by necessity. Pretty sketchy mini series but it ended up happy.

That there is a new hooker movie out for the holy rollers called Mary Magdalene.  I haven't seen it, so I can't say if its PG raunchy or seeks to make Jesus-loving hookers more respectable than average "sinners."

I recorded I and then "tried" to watch is and the few minutes were so fucking boring I had to turn it off and I deleted it after getting less than five minutes into it.

If anyone has more pain tolerance than me and lasts long enough to find out that the movie gets over it's slow start I "might" be willing to try again.

Unforgiven was relatively recent at 1992. LOL.
Five of the 8 movies mentioned above his post we’re from the 50s, 60s, and 70s! 😊
