Question for the guys...what's the longest time you've been away for the hobby and what brought you back?  Ever try to go cold turkey? Anyone compulsive to the point of wondering if they're addicted?  Anyone care if they are addicted? LOL

Hi Heather, another great question.  I've been taking a break for about a month now (with the exception of a few FBSM's) because I was feeling kinda burned out.  While I always have a good time on the dinner dates, there has been something missing lately.  Maybe I was participating too often and I think taking a break was a good idea.  I'm hornier than a 2 peckered billy goat now and am looking forward to starting up again.  Sedagive.

Damn good question, HBXXX. I have recently been questioning whether I'm seeing providers as often as I do (once a week) out of need or desire or just because "it's time to go again." I would think about it a little longer but I have an "appt.", so gotta go

     I usually only see providers when I am not in a relationship, so I've gone up to 18 months without hobbying.  Until I marry, I imagine I'll always dabble once or twice a month if I'm not dating someone.

I've been playing for close to 20 years

Going on five monthes now, due to work slowdown. Bills before pleasure!

About the same for me, except I've been in it, off and on, for well over twenty years (and two marriages).  What brought me back each time?  The anticipated thrill of a new encounter gradually overcame my sense of guilt for cheating on my wife, temporarily anyway.  "Once bitten" says it all.

I don't have any financial worries that tie me into a quitting mode, although I do sometimes consider that the money I spend, altogether discretionary, would be rather large 20 years from now if it were invested. Kind of bugs me, but not enough to quit.

Lately, I've considered giving myself a break because I've run into a couple of providers that, well, concern me. Quite frankly I think they have character flaws, not at all rip-off chicks, but more from their self esteem or other issues that ought to be dealt with. I'm no psycholgist so I wouldn't dream of rambling on this subject, but it is quite clear that the provider population has more than its share of troubled people. Maybe I'm part of the troubled population myself. I'm not trying to insult anyone or create a flame war. Its just that sometimes I feel bad because I associated with them. Maybe I feel I'm being exploitive, maybe I just feel that I should spend my time and money doing something with folks that are'nt so screwed-up. Maybe I 've just had a bad run. I dunno, I'm still working it out.

.. who admitted to being addicted to the... ah, the "cause?"  I've never had any clients admit it, but I know from my website, that there's a lotta guys addicted to talking about, watching, fantasizing about women and sex - all the time! I know most men think about it (who do the internet thing) at least once a day (once an hour boys? come on! be honest... hahahaha!)  XO Faye Desiree

men think about sex you'd be afraid to leave the house.  I read a study that said men have a sexual thought on an average of every 32 seconds.  I don't think it's that far off either.  Since men had the movie "What Women Want" to help them get inside women's thoughts, I'll return the favor by giving you a glimpse into the male mind.

Let me give you a simple example.  The average male goes to the grocery store.  As he parks his car he checks out  a couple women pushing their carts to their cars.  As he walks through the parking lot toward the store, he checks out all the ladies coming in the other direction.  I should point out that when I say check out, basically he's mentally deciding if he'd like to have sex with them or not.  It's a simple system, pass/fail.  

Then of course pushing his cart through the store, every woman he passes.   Occasionally re-directing his route if he sees someone better going down another aisle.  Having obtained the groceries, it is then necessary to choose a check-out aisle.  This is based, not on which line is shortest, but by which cashier is the cutest.  A longer line is OK, since it affords more time to pretend you're not staring at her.  

Once it is your turn, she efficiently goes about her work, while you efficiently go about yours- that is trying to slide your credit card through the reader while staring at her 20 year old perfect ass.  You exchange a few pleasantries while she totals your bill and leans over to tear off the reciept.  This is the moment you've been waiting for because it affords a possible first glimpse at her breasts.  Remembering that she is young enough to be your daughter's friend, you try your best to be subtle.  

As the bag girl asks you if you'd like paper or plastic, you're suddenly startled back to reality.  As you turn to say "Plastic's fine" you realize yet another nubile female awaits your most joyous scrutiny.  "Oh no, that's just wrong," you think as she smiles at you with a mouth full of shining braces.  Afterall, even boys are taught you have to throw the little fishes back in the lake.

So now we push our cart toward the door timing our departure perfectly so that we can follow out to the parking lot the attractive woman we first saw in Produce, and then watched from a parallel checkout line.  Laying back a respectful distance we follow her outside, marveling at the perfection of her legs and hips.  "How can anything be so perfect" we momentarily think to ourselves.  Now we get to our car, unload the bags and our mission is complete.  Unless, of course, we see anyone on the drive out.

Average interval between thinking about sex = 32 seconds.  Almost all of it unconscious because it is part of everything we do. Men aren't from Mars, they're from the next aisle over staring at your behind as you read the label to see how many calories something contains!

AM you really nailed it. What a perfect response. I was going to post something lame about how often men DON'T think about sex (not very often) but after reading your post, nothing more needs to be said.

Well if it was addiction, I guess I will be addicted forever. I have also just started again with the hobby after a four week or so rest. Not to say I wasn't still playing...just not paying. Well I am back, and with the numbers I have been doing in the past 28 months, I find a little bit of restlessness at bedtime, and a super sized tent pole upon wakening. Other than than, I am still the same horny Man I always have been....and loveing it! That is just my opinion...and what do I know? EOM Dateman

This hobby is pretty adicting. I was trying to quit was unable due to my hormones. Even if I had a fine ass GF at that time. How do you guys take a cold turkey. I would like to quit for a month.
