Ladies, I know that when you see clients once every 6 or 12 months, the feeling's probably more business.

Now once a client sees you 2 - 4 times a month, in your experience ... do you subconciously develop an attachment to your regulars (in their role as a stable income source), even if you don't like to?  or develop a better liking to them over time?  
or no attachment at all?

Not just as a steady source of income.  Although, it is extremely comfortable to know that there are two or three or more that I can personally count on to pay my rent and bills and things.  
But friendships develop.  A safe kind of unassuming and expectation free relationship begins to develop.  You share things that you wouldn't normally share with a non-regular.  You begin to be genuine in their presence.  
When it is with regulars that I really gel with, those feelings of attachment come with emotions like elation, joy, perhaps a tiny bit of love even.
I have a few men who have been seeing me regularly for three years now.  And I do feel a type of lightly falling in love with each and every one of them.  Grateful for them and yes, attached, in a non-attached sort of way.  : )

For me it's nicer and more pleasant than any "real" relationship I've ever been in.

Do you enjoy reading and responding to these trolls always dredging the bottom looking for some action? They get more and more empowered every time someone tries to engage them in dialog. Better to ignore them like a bad odor.

I personally prefer my trolls ground up into fishmeal and used as plant fertilizer. Works even better than shit or a compost heap, and the small goes away after a day or so.

Well, it's implied in the question. You develop a subconcious attachment until you realize later (conciously) that the attachment has been established.

you get to be your best for one another, enjoy each other regularly, get to know and appreciate one another. Like one another. Have real affection for one another. High regard. Caring. Perhaps be "friends" outside of or in addition to P4P

But all in all, that kind of friendship in the context of P4P is better than most "real" relationships.....

I like making friends, and I am not talking about sugar daddy friends, just friends. We still maintain the same distance due people who meet through the hobby, but when we come together, we are friends. I think about them when we are apart, and hope they are doing well. I do not depend upon them for a steady income. That is not realistic. Men like to dip into the candy jar too much to expect them to see me, and only me.

Yes, but I think each person is different so it depends on the stimuli of the five senses and the emotion reaction that was felt.

If you are seeing the right ladies, this will develop naturally over time, in various degrees.  This is perhaps the greatest thing about hobbying for me...being not just lovers, but also friends.  The only problem is balance...maintaining friendships, while being able to fit in ladies that catch your eye...

By that I mean, as humans the ladies (who are by no means trolls) will have their ATFs - as any business would.

Then there is the natural inclination of all humans for emotional connections (even trolls).

So, what is the real question? Examples? How to woo your ATF?

You'd have to be made of stone not to develop some attachment to a person with whom you are very intimate over a period of time.

How we manage this attachment decides whether these feelings end up being a positive force in our life or a destructive one.

And, it should be noted that the problem is a two-way street with clients doing dumb things as often if not more often than the providers.

TER's Boards can be a good source of learning about these things through reading about others' escapades in these matters.

It depends on the person. Usually someone becomes a regular because you have some sort of chemistry or connection. I wouldn't necessarily call it an attachment but I do have a couple regulars, well, two to be exact, that I really look forward to seeing.

I prefer to see few people, whom I can feel an attachment to. Makes the experience a whole lot nicer for both parties.  Mutual respect and genuine affection with a sense of fun is a wonderful mix
