I have had my wallet stolen . and . I have had hackers rob me on separate days.  The hackers got my credit card number . and . They transferred money out of my account.  I had to fix the damage on my own.  However, one time, this same credit  card was stolen by an analogue thief  (non hacker non digital variety).  He used my stolen wallet to buy himself shit in his hometown.  I was able to reverse the charges.

It takes less than a minute and gives you peace of mind

I don't have the paranoia that seems some others have.

None of this would be possible if we were not dependent on credit, or had to verify who we are for purchases and hotel rentals.
