1) Do not make phone calls from hotel phones.   They keep those records, and can be used to prosecute you.

2) Do not pay with a check at all.   Boy was that client stupid.  "Internet Development"?   You have got to be kidding!

3) Make sure you are here legally as a citizen or whatever.   If you are not, the INS will get you.

4) Get a disk scrubber to clean your hard drive.  Even stuff you delete can be recovered.

5) Stay at a busy hotel with lots of traffic instead of a Residence Inn.  A busy hotel might be more expensive, but the hundreds of people who come and go daily are great cover for visitors.

6) Get Prepaid wireless anonymous phones, or internet phones that are paid for by cash.  Anything that can trace you to yourself is bad.

7) Do not piss off one of your employees so that she puts this all down on paper to prosecute you.
