Lets say you are invited to speak to a few hundred or thousand minds of mush.  What would you say to them?  In a perfect world you could reference the hobby or something sexual.  Without censoring yourself, what would you say at your present station in life?

Don't go stealing points from commencement speeches posted on the web.  Be original.  Don't mention sun block.

You can do it.

Only in the space between bliss and oblivion is there a place for opinion. Having an opinion is needful, however you cannot be experiencing bliss while formulating and delivering your opinions. So, how much bliss do you wish to experience before moving into oblivion?

that will give you most happiness..Never settle but explore every possibility...Reach out and someone will hold your hand...Be open and others will approach you...Listen and you will have a chance to speak...Give pleasure and pleasure will come to you

Axioms of wisdom to live by....

There is no such thing as a sure thing

You can't always get what you want, but you can always get what you need...

Everything is a function of time....

For every action- there is an opposite and equal reaction

Everything always comes back to you

of course,
the other things to consider...
do no harm
treat others as you wish them treat you
do at least one kindness every day
be aware of the potential unintended consequences

Take responsibility for your circumstance in life.

These are the things I tell my kids each and every day.

Wanna make the world a better place?  simply take responsibility for yourself.  kinda would work, except that much like driving - you know you are a good driver - it is the other dudes on the roads that are not...  if they are not responsible....  that is why accidents happen.

I think you meant to say, "Take responsibility for your circumcision in life."  You had to have done thing very wrong in a previous life to deserve having your penis length shortened in this one.

...do all this on a cell phone, all the time, and it doesn't count.

Dear Holeydiver:
I would reference the hobby for my intellectual gifted friends that would not be necessarily denizens of that world by alluding to the hobby as an extra curricular activity. Then I would further elaborate on the subject by saying that it is a mutually consenting relationship that is intuitive in the type of barter that would be expected of each other. Although I would be somewhat vague in my lexicon for the purposes of my audience, it would be subtle enough for one to discern the nature and scope of my speech. Henceforth one would have to read between the lines to ascertain what I was saying. Then I would complete the speech by ending with the saying, "make your next move your best move graduates".

This was in the 80s. It was quite an honor, really. There were 1,000 graduates and guests filled the auditorium. My comments generated applause during various phases of my speech. That's a real high!!

I once had a speech professor say that every speech really was three speeches: the one you intend to give; the one you give; and, the one you wish you'd given. For example, I had an anecdote for the conclusion that would've really driven home the point of my comments. Instead, I went with a summary and some platitude. I've regretted not putting in the anecdote.

Oh, one thing I discovered. A successful speech is a powerful aphrodisiac. Both my wife and my previous professor's girlfriend were quite affectionate.

I can't say where I gave the speech, or discuss my comments for privacy reasons.
