It had disappeared shortly after I had read it and hence my dumb dog comment. You should always anticipate responses before posting and note that some subjects are TMI and unwise to post here even if it is a fuck board.

Hound seems to be a highly emotional lad.  When he posts based on an emotional reaction he is more prone to getting it wrong.  I believe he generally means well and is one of the few people on this board to actually apologize when he screws up.  So he gets more slack from me, than, say, Tardwell.

He is our dog after all. He just needs a little more training.

he owned up to what he did, he's remorseful and he never claimed to have redeemed himself, by still owning what he did back as a scared kid, he has redeemed himself in my eyes, and maybe only my eyes, but I too am willing to give him "time served" as well. and I was one of his harshest critics yesterday.

Your OP, the thing that flabbergasted me most was not that you let something get so out of hand when you were not equipped to deal with it for whatever reason (young, drunk, panicked,  etc.); but that now, at an age that you've presumably had time and experience to grow from it, you use an account of something so heinous to make a point about something as inane as board politeness.  

he stopped being all defensive and actually "got it". With all the crap I give people like turdwell and TS for continuing to dig the hole deeper even when it's obvious how wrong they are, I felt obligated to give credit to Hound for admitting how wrong he was and taking ownership for what he had done.

He can't undo what he did, but he can own up to it and resolve to do better, and that's what he did.

 I didn't get a chance to read much of the board posts for the last few weeks, so if one of you guys with too much time on your hands would like to recap, kindly do so.  

 

He is clearly remorseful for his part in the unfortunate situation which may or may not be the case with the other parties who were involved. It's history now and cannot be rewritten or changed.

Like I said yesterday, I respect Hound owning up to his transgressions without trying to make excuses.  Vern, on the other hand, proved himself to be a rapist sympathizer and a victim blamer. He is truly a pig.  Here's something good that came out of your thread, Hound: I now like GaG. Never much cared for him before, but my opinion was totally changed by his responses. Good times.  

I like to have fun and games here, but I would NEVER do anything in the real world to harm a woman, nor do I laugh about real world events that cause harm to anyone, man or woman. In the virtual world however, all is fair game to me, as long as there are no real world consequences for anything said here.

It was not too smart to post it in the first place. Sometimes you have to put the dog's snoot in his excrement for them to smell it.

Go back and re-read your post.  What it clearly said was his earlier post demonstrated hypocrisy because he'd called the cops on a crack house fairly recently.  Then it turns out it was his parent that did so when he was a child.  Totally different thing.  And if you can't see that then you have descended into Tardwellian depths of logic-chopping.
