with a providor right now. Trying to stay occupied before I have to take a shower and get ready. I get nervous so I have to stay busy. I've been waiting for this encounter for almost a month. Anyway, since I am here and waiting, I was wondering what everyone does in the hours before a meeting, assuming they don't work and not including the shower/cleanup part. Does anyone have a routine or something they do to take their mind off of it, or maybe to prepare? Just thought I would ask. And I will be sure to come back tonight and let everyone know how it went.

get a cup of tea or coffee and read a book. This takes my mind off the encounter and makes me relax instead of waiting nervously for the meeting time to arrive.

If I am visiting a city where I will be seeing a lady via incall, often I will do a lot of walking around the city to pass the time and see some sights.

One time, in NYC, I had a couple of hours so I decided to see a museum, and walk around mid-town Manhatten and near Central Park.

Well, after a few hours, I decided it was time to head over to the place for the second call to be made. Made the call, then walked to the brownstone and climbed the very steep-angled stairs to the third floor and entered my 'home away from home'. After some chit-chat we both got comfortable. She proceeds to give me a nice sensual massage to start things up. She gets down to my calf, and not doing anything out of the ordinary, happens to massage the muscle in such a way as to induce an immediate, toe-curling, charley horse. Never felt such a painful muscle cramp. Took five minutes to clear it away.

Now, I am used to hiking in various mountain ranges for extended periods of time. I've had my share of hiking-related cramps, but this one was a beaut. Never happened before in the hobby for me.

Queue ahead half a year later. I'm back in that city, going back to that place. Again I do some pre-meeting walks. Climb those steep stairs, and again have a cramp (not as intense, but still there.) Now I am not yet to the age of mid-life crisis, and I am not in lousy shape. Did some research and realized my pre-meeting routine of lots of walking (and I'm usually wearing dress shoes with a lot less padding that hiking shoes) coupled with not drinking a lot of liquids during those couple hours, is severely depleting my electrolites.

Solution - I've been experimenting with various sport/health drinks to find the best ones for replenishing electrolites, without all the corn-syrup additives and heavy dosing of caffeine. I'm also adding some fruit/veggies to my pre-meeting routine like bananas and parsley to up the minerals in the system. Things seem to be working out better. I'll be putting my theory to the test in a few weeks.

Toe-curling experiences are good when lady-induced, not cramp-induced!

A light meal or snack about 3 hours before the date.  Then I'll spend time on the internet (TER) to recall her latest 2 or 3 reviews so that I am prepared for her likes and dislikes.  After shower and shave I'll read the newspaper or a magazine until "the knock at the door."

Good responses. I too read up on recent reviews and spend some time on TER. Maybe I will get out and be more active to take my mind off of it. Anyway, my meeting was with a very well reviewed girl, but it wasn't a fantastic experience. It was good, but not great. She had previously had all 9's and 10's. I gave her a couple 7's. It was sort of a rushed experience and was very mechanical, going from point to point so it felt very much like a service. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

If I am having her come to my place then I putz around picking up or trying to decide on music.  If I am going to her place I do map quest 6 different ways, including how to get back (assuming I KNOW her address or the general neighborhood)
 Waiting is not my favorite part and I would not pay extra for it.  What I do not do is masturbate.  That is called one trial learning.
