Not a very 'sexy' topic, but since I don't have any 'bros' that have gone this route yet, I figure maybe a few Hobbyists around here might help out.

I've been wating to do this for years (I'm a few years over 40), but my wife was never sure if she didn't want to have another... until recently. And I'd sure like for her to be able to get off the BC pills. Anyway, I'm thinking no-needle.

The internet data I see says no reduction in performance, same feel, same orgasm intensity.
Is this the case? Does the equipment work as well as it ever did?
Anyone ever have regrets?
Anyone chicken out?

I had one 20+ years ago. I'm sure today they have better methods, but it was no big deal.  No real pain, no performance loss, and no regrets.  It is very nice not to have to worry about another pregnancy.

I chicken out...For some reason.  I asked myself what if I met the perfect woman and she wanted to have a child?

No loss of sensation, performance, intensity or anything else. Everything works just fine. Have never regreted it for a minute. Had it on a Fri. evening in the Dr. office and went back to work on Monday morning. If you are sure you won't ever want more kids, IMO it is the only way to go.

I got mine about 15 years ago. Agree with Biglittleguy & BigJohnson63 - no loss in performance & no regrets.

than it was 32 years ago, when I had mine. I had unusual swelling, and got drunk one night, slipped on the ice, and landed directly on my already swollen nuts, The next day they were the same size and color as an eggplant.

He claims his dick works fine.  He fucks a lot of trailer park trash, and seems happy.

I had mine about 8 months ago.  Only regret was that I didn't do it sooner.  No discernable difference from before to after.

had one 20 + years ago--no side effects, and certainly no drop off in any abilities.  Go for it--then you can be sure of no possible consequences that involve child support.

never regretted it. too many games get played around reproduction. girls have guys playing condom tricks  to make them pregnant. guys have girls fotgetting to take countermeasures.

after too much of that and having reproduced sufficiently, i deceided that taking responsibility and getting the cut was the only way.

if you meet someone who absolutely has to have your babies, there are ways around that difficulty too. expensive but not non existent.

everything continued to work as before. the possible decrease in volume never materialized.

Had one just a few months ago.  No problems.  Little tender down there for a couple of weeks, but was back to work with only 1 day off.  No performance change.

I got it done at 27 (almost 32 now) after a little grilling from the doctor.  I have no regrets.  The internet data turned out to be correct for me.  Same performance, same feel, etc.  Doctor told me to stay off the bicycle a couple of weeks.  I was given a prescription for a pain killer, but I never filled it.  Maybe a couple of advil during the first two days after the procedure, but after that, I felt like doing all my regular activities (on the bicycle, in the bed, etc.), but I decided to do what the doctor said.

I had a local anesthetic and I suppose that needle could cause some to chicken out, but honestly it was no big deal.  A couple of small incisions and it was over in no time even with my urologist going slower than usual to show a resident how it is done.

I've never heard that one before.  Then again I don't know much about it.

They report no change in performance or feel etc.

The surgery itself is not hard.

My first wife tried to get me to have one.  I refused and am glad I did since I got remarried and had two more kids.  You just never know.

I have since had radioactive seeds implanted in my prostate for early prostate cancer.  My ejaculate is very very low volume now since the prostate had shriveled to nothing.  An interesting side effect is that the numbin of prostate has become like a g spot for me: A massage of that spot sends me off.

when your in the room, in walks in a beautiful assistant, about 22 or so. She is going to prep. Great I think. (not!) Next, walks in OLD Doc. Fat, old and not so good looking. Very uncomfortable situation. Little pain killer, snip, ship, little burn of the tubes and poof, you're done! Back to work in a few hours.
BTW, the hang down a lot further!!!!
You could always try the sympathy thing with your S/O.  "Honey! It hurts! Could you rub it a little?"

Good luck with that!

I had a vasectomy when I was 38 and have to say that sex has been better. No worry about pregnancy. After 4 daughters I decided it was time. That was 31 years and a divorce ago. I have not seen any reduction in performance, intensity and the equipment works pretty good for an old fart. The amount of sperm in an ejactulation is not that much. My ejactulations aren't as copious as when I was younger, but I blame that on age.No regrets at all.
