Are you currently using what you think is best?  Has anyone researched this in any detail?

I find there are services that are very popular for unknown reasons, perhaps because they are basically free.  It certainly isn't because they look good or are fast to use.

I am wondering the same thing, since I was using a free web site host and the server has gone down and I can't find out what's happening.  As a result, my site is down, too, so no one can find me or my info.  I would appreciate suggestions on an alternate hosting server.  I can't really afford my own domain right now.  Thanks.

A number of ladies I know have had good success using hosting services targeted at the adult content business.  Two suggestions:

   http://www.adulthosting.com/
and
   http://www.xxxhostit.com/

Both likely give you more than you need for a simple site, but allow you to grow in the future.  There are many others, all at different/competitive price points.  There is something nice about hosting with a sex-culture positive organization and not having to worry about some overambitious admin flagging a gallery nipple-shot.

Serena, you can get your domain name on Godaddy for $9.95 and if you buy the basic hosting package it comes as  a deal for about $52 a year with the domain only costing $1.99.

You may be able to find an archived version of your website there (if your website is more than 6 months old).

I'm using Rare Escorts right now, but soon 'll be closing my Rare site down and using one hosted by Cuties NY:

actually I've used godaddy for two years now first it was $9.95 to start out.
NO OTHER CHARGES,unless you wanted to upgrade ssl certificate ,third party proxy etc..(you really don't need all that stuff.Having A good IT person will do.
I built mine with all HTML & java it was easier than I thought & I've had no problems.
The following year they will offer you very reasonable discounts around the renewal time of your domain.
So it only cost me 5.95 (domain ,email etc..this year.
What A Steal !

free hosting sites are too unpredictable .
good luck

They must like their customers, They only charged me $2.00 more to get the stupid banner off my pages.
the speed was never a problem
Just if some folks have an older version of internet explorer certain features wouldn't show up.
