were there for him...and You were there to give him the Love and Kindness that everyone deserves..I am Sure You made his Life more Peaceful and Pleasant...which I am sure helped him prepare himself for his New Journey...my glass has been raised

That's a good thing to do, for both of you.  raise the glass.

I try to remember the good things about the person if I knew them.  I also am reminded about one of the cruelest parts of this business, that we are not allowed to grieve in public for those we cared for.

Whether it's an ATF or a fellow we drank beers with it is often impossible to go to a funeral we wish we could go to.  The ATF or favorite client must deal with their grief without the support structure society has for others.  Some don't need it, but many do.

In those cases we here become each other's grief companions.

I drink to him, and to you, Juliet.  May all who knew him find their peace.

To make this post he must've been a nice guy, cancer is a sad thing, well RIP to him (never met him though) at least that fight is over.

That's what I called him when we used to chat it up. Just heard from him a week ago....Very sad.
