Do some of your clients try to put themselves on some sort of "friend" rate.
Just because someone is calling and snooping , or wants to take up my time on the phone does not make him a friend, or give him the privilege of setting his own rate.
I give discounts if something is out of place, like when I was unpacking from a move.
Then this guy who thinks he is a friend demands some old rate special.
I'm sorry guys , " friend rates" are INVITATION only.

Solution: If they feel they are friends, start asking them do things you would ask a friend to do...loan you money, take you places to pick things up, go shopping with you etc. When you start calling them as you would a friend and taking up their time, and when they ask why, you can say "I thought we were friends".

Some guys just never get the concept of pay for play and the universal boundaries that are applied. The smart ones realize that it is the lady that extends such invitations...NOT the client.

Business takes precedence. Mutual friendship if developed, is a plus and should not be compromised so that it can be sincere and fun. Friend rate is up to the lady but the gent should never expect it each time, if ever it was gifted previously. Been there and just said thanks, not even giving  an iota of a hint that it is to be so next time. The appreciation and subsequent benefits has been good so far. Don't ruin a good thing/relationship by increasing expectation that can/may lead to pressure, no matter how slight.

When dad or bro call & start expecting a special, all hell has broken loose.

Discounts are only up to the lady.  If she doesn't offer they don't exist.  Hell we all would like more services for less money, that is a fact of life.  This is a hobby and like all hobbies if you can't pay, you don't play.
