people are only faithful as their options are

It's unrealistic to think one person can satisfy all your needs ( emotional, spiritual, sexual, intellectual, ect) for a life time.

Some studies think more women may be cheating than men, women are better at deception. It's all about opportunity & options.

I think most people (myself included) would have a difficult time even making the distinction. Love itself often comes from attachment.

I totally agree! Prople are different. I see a lot of people who are married with children, with only one sex partner, and are happy with their whole life. Long term hobbyists like people here are minorities, and will always be. Some people became a hobbyist only for a short time and never came back. Sex is fun, but is not the whole life. We are not just animals. Life is more than sex. I am not saying that this hobby is wrong, I am also doing it. But to laugh at people who choose to be monogamous and say they are not happy is very very wrong.

Yes, we tend to be creatures of habit and have a few obvious needs, food, water , sleep etc. But , to say that we should all be monogamous is silly.. To also expect that we all need to sleep around is equally silly........... Some do, some don't , some want to, some sneak around, some are honest and address their needs, others have no need for sex at all................ To each their own........ respect and be respectful......................

I personally,, always expected my ex's to have other needs, I did and still do as well....................

As 1 said to me all the time.. ' Honey, I love strawberry and will always crave you, But sometimes a man needs a little vanilla swirl.." I get it.. Another way of putting it below..

Who wants to have a hamburger for dinner every night, 7 nights a week and only hamburger.. ?

That's really depending on how you define "love". If live together long enough, Married couple can be very attached, and won't be happy if seperated.

I think monogamy is purely a social construct that works for some, doesn't for most. By most, I don't believe most are rabid hobbyists, I just mean that at some point, most people will want to experience something different.

There's actually science that says it's all in the alleles.

Does anyone ever really leave the hobby?

I understand about men losing their virility with age, Viagra notwithstanding.

But does anyone otherwise ever completely leave the hobby and not dabble from time to time? Somehow I can't help thinking that people don't ever really turn a complete 180 degrees.

I'm as loyal as my dog!

At this stage of my life, as long as I'm treated well and fed what I need,
I feel no compulsion to stray.

I'm accustomed to cooking and thoroughly enjoy pleasing my Gal's palate, therefore she has no need to work in the kitchen preparing my food, to keep me as faithful as my dog.

Everyone's different, I suspect the variety and abundance of Gals I could easily find in my youth, whether I was already in a relationship or not, allows me to be comfortable and satisfied with one Gal at a time now that I've found my more mature years.

I actually feel bad about some of my GF's I cheated on in my youth, even a few of them that never found out how easy I was behind her back.

Fortunately for me, I've never been the moping type of guy who withdraws from relationships after a great relationship goes down the tube.

I'll admit if my GF decides she wants to move out tomorrow, I'd likely pay for time with ten different Gals before New Years, hoping to get over my loss as quickly as possible.

As she stands today, I wouldn't trade her for any ten tens.

Later, I have a quick and easy Spaghetti Carbonara and Kale salad to prepare before she gets home.
Fortunately I plan ahead, I started my home made bread late last night
after she fell asleep.
