It usually seems to work. TBH, I'm not hung up that much on age, just that she has good reviews.

I keep on eye on the lady's ad. If it looks like she's been running her ad, with the same pictures for a prolonged amount of time, I tack on the years of her review history. And, I read her reviews. If she is misrepresenting herself regarding age, it usually shows up there.

I don't like it when any woman lies about her age (and I've had GF's do the same thing), but you can understand why they do it.

The fact is, at any given age, we all look better today than our parent's generation did, but the stigma about age remains.  A lot of it is related to women's fertility and the countdown to menopause, and that seems to be ingrained in us probably on an evolutionary basis.

But all the things we know about health, nutrition and exercise have really been game changers, but our thinking about age, sex and beauty hasn't changed.  No one knows this more than women, and providers are even more aware of it than most since they're constantly evaluated and critiqued on appearance.

Most of the ladies will lie about their age, so just accept it.  And it's not just the 46 year olds that still claim 38.  I know a beautiful woman in her mid- 30's that still advertises 28- that's how hard strong the stigma of age is on women.

Perhaps this was covered previously, but one thing that irks me is a provider who advertises being of a certain age, yet when the hobbyist arrives for the session, she is clearly older than stated. What do you guys do when that happens? Input from the ladies would be nice here, too. Seriously, do you think we don't notice?

I am 48 and tell everybody how old I am. I see no reason in lieing

of 45 years young and I'm often told I look 38 even by people outside of the hobby so it's not just hobbyists sucking up.  I have no problems or qualms with my age and it's even a good selling point for me because there are many gentleman who do not feel comfortable with a 20 yr old lady.  

Everybody has their own preferences and I feel if ladies lie about their age they are actually harming their business in a way by shutting out those hobbyists who would prefer a more mature lady.

Ages listed I have found to be wildly inaccurate. Met with one lady shown as 35-40. Knew that wasn't the case when I saw her. Got asked by someone here aaafter the fact how she looked. He said that he had seen a few years ago when she was 49! You do the math!

You have to read providers' ads and translate accordingly.  There is a system of codes words that say one thing, but mean another.  Similarly, there is a mathematical formula that calculates providers' true ages from their advertised age.  The full formula is too complicated to replicate here, but it is a geometrically progressive function based on stated age and donation requested.

Fortunately for me I'm 27 so I have no reason to lie about my age...yet. However, I feel that in American culture being a female or ts provider there is a lot of pressure to always appear youthful & fresh. I mean that is why the beauty market is such a profitable business not  to mention plastic surgery being very popular even with women in their early 20s! Hopefully with this new era of Cougars it will release some of the pressure of women having to lie about their age. Most women will hopefully embrace their age and wisdom that comes with it.

Like Scarlett, I post my real age (40) and I find it to be an advantage with many men.  My ads all state that I am 'mature.'  And, in fact, my age on my TER review profile is wrong -- it says that I'm 41-45 -- and I have not bothered to correct it because I will soon turn 41 (in January), but also because I don't consider it a disadvantage.  I also look younger than my age, but I think that most of my clients appreciate my emotional maturity more than anything else.

and it is also not always her fault. Sometime the provider profile is created here and never gets updated, or she puts up a web site and does not update it. I guess she should, but if it is working, she is busy, clients are happy, it would not be a real high priority. And why would anyone rush to update it in a way that might reduce the amount of business? Further, I have seen 30 year old providers who looked like hell, and I can think of one 40 year old provider who is just gorgeous (I am sure there are more, but I just know this one).

Anyway, just because she looks older than the ad says does not mean she actually is older. And while I do take age into consideration, as I am sure everyone else does (with 25-35 seeming to be a sweet spot, IMO), the pictures and reviews mean a lot more than the number, which is not completely trustworthy, or even meaningful in a lot of cases.

Good point- though I have to say I've never seen a review come right out and mention that. A certain amount of marketing is par for any business, I guess.

I am who and what I am. I see no reason to lie about my age. As far as I am concerned, everything seems to get better with experience. There is no reason to lie.

So they do. There are many who prefer a more mature provider so I really dont get why they feel the need to lie. I'm only 24 but I'm often told I look 19-20 and even tho I can claim that age, I dont want to. I prefer to be myself as much as I can.

Take the highest number in the age bracket on a provider's profile, add to that the number of years her reviews cover. You will get pretty close to her real age.

It works well for older providers where the age discrepancy between stated age and real is usually most significant.

My apologies to any provider that advertises her real age because I know some do. I also know many who have not had a birthday for several years. I always assume they were born on February 29. Lucky them!

I know 4-5 ladies that state their age older than they are...especially if the girl is 18 they rather say 21...

Good points but unless you ask for ID sometimes you'll never know. I know females who look way older than they really and are women who look wayyy younger than they really are. I have a close friend who is about to be 30 at the end of January next year and she looks 17/18 sooooo yeah.

As do I.....a provider friend of mine is 23 and advertises as 26 sometimes 27. And I have a 25 yr old friend who advertises as 28.

many reviews the lady has.  If she is 33 and has been providing for 8 years, she might be about 41.  Most providers are great at updating their profile if it is in their best interest; not sure age fits that requirement.

may be more important to a new guy who has minimal experience on seeing the ladies here.  I can relate to that as when I first started this hobby (about 10 months ago) looking at the age that a lady stated seemed more important at the time as I was muddling through this learning my way as I went.  However, now it is not terribly important as I am an ardent believer in reading reviews (and in most cases age is less important than is she the lady in the pics and are they current).  Having seen ladies ranging from 20 to 50 (maybe even a tad older but couldn't really tell for sure as she had on her TER page 45 and that was for reviews that went back a good 10 years) my interests lie in the evidence when I walk in (and is she all that the reviews suggest).  Hence, I really don't care what a lady advertises her age as, but would be much more critical of poor representation of pics that are clearly not in line with how she looks when I open the door.

I lol, when is see what age they post. I always asked myself that question--- Do the men don't see it????Hmmm.  I tell my dates my real age (they don't  care) for age, more so what my reviews say.  I have just left it were it reads late 30's. When in reality Im 40 yrs old.... and looking/feeling my best.
Funny how matureness isn't about age.   Yet, its nice to be told over and over again that I look 30.

Ya think anyone would notice if I went back and deducted 5yrs from my stated age? Lol. Happy holidays everyone.

I recently saw a lady who's profile listed an age that was clearly ten years off or more.  She was fantastic and looks great, but in the interest of accuracy I stated the correct age, contact info, and other details with my review.  It was approved but none of the other info in the profile was updated.

I contacted TER admin and told them about the issue.  They adjusted the age only a little, and also updated the phone number, but nothing else.

It seems to me that when the provider is first created in the database those details that are first entered, such as age and appearance, become hared to change and most reviewers don't bother to update them when they write their reviews.  I also believe that this is perpetuated by some providers who wish to be forever young.

Frankly it is not the age thing that bothers me too much; it is showing up at the door and finding someone that is in fact the person on the pictures but has gained 75 lbs and dark circles under the eyes.

Cost a lot of money and requires a lot of time! In the end, you look 6 months younger argh...

I use to show my face too as I have no problem with that but for a personal reason I had to change that recently to my great regret. As long as a provider takes care of herself and keeps it real, age isn't much of a factor. I get more multi hour dates than my younger girlfriends so I feel I'm in my prime (I also understand that no every lady is looking for longer dates).

There are men that truly appreciate a mature woman that is confident, fun to be with, and that takes care of herself.  So I believe in "keeping it real."

LOL!  After reading all the replies, it seems to me that all that is important is to look "timeless" and beautiful, and not disappoint anyone compared to your pictures.  Right?  And what difference does it make how many revolutions you've made on this earth around the sun?  There's always botox, laser tightening, exercise, nutrition and a positive attitude.
