How do you read it when certain providers do not list their rates?  There are enough who do post rates so there is no danger of incrimination. So my read is that they don’t want to scare off inquiries either because their rates are too high or their services do not adequately match the rate. In other words, I stay away from them unless I find a review with the rate and service rating. I am more willing to take a chance on a unreviewed provider who posts rates

Since most mongers know not to ask about rates right off the bat, it gives them an advantage by being able to screen you and talk to your refs about what kind of guy you are, socially and financially, and then quote you a rate based on what they learn.

This is why I only see indies that are reviewed on TER, and I will ask them if there is anything listed on their profile that is no longer accurate, including their rates, their physical appearance and their service menu, so we have different viewpoints about advertising of rates.

That's just idiotic if you don't contact someone of interest just because it's not posted. Good Lord. Smh

Once in a while I'll see a P411 profile that says something like "ask me" under rates, so if I'm interested I'll do just that - PM or email them asking for their rates. I don't know what's so difficult about that.

With the amount of info some guys are willing to give there's wouldn't b surprised to see if credit checks are even done in some cases.

Especially the "Since most mongers know not to ask about rates right off the bat" .
Not knowing the timing of when to ask, but I have to know her rate on my initial contact after we've or I have done the intro. To give her my references, then to have her call the ladies and ask around, then to come back to me on a second contact to find out that she's too rich for my taste makes me look like a time waster to her and to the ladies who I used as my reference. Plus the time they took to vouch for me and then for me to say  "never mind"...So I now burned one bullet in my chamber with my references...some my not be so willing in the future to help me along.
Sorry, there's no second chance if I don't have her rate and I'm not going to be jerked around,

Maybe I wasn't clear.  I ask the question about the accuracy of the profile on the first contact.  That effectively removes that advantage that she has by trying to conceal her rates in order to screen you first.  My way gives me her rate first.  If she confirms the rate on her profile, then I can decide whether to move on to the screening or not. It's a way to ask her to confirm her rate without coming off like LE or a newbie.  I won't waste my time either.

Not every Provider keeps track of their Profile but a related approach is to ask if the information in her ad is accurate. I have to admit that I always asked specifically about the ad with the lower rate. It's not uncommon for rates to be out of sync. "I saw your ad on Tryst ... is the info accurate?" might be lower than "I saw your ad on Eros ... is the info accurate?"

I just take the lowest rate, tell them that's my offer and where I saw it.  They can then disagree, etc. But I've never had one not accept a rate they had posted somewhere.

I wouldn't bother contacting someone who hadn't posted a rate.  It just wastes my time.

I see a lot of providers that I would love to see.. but if their rate is over my max.. I don't call.. why would i?

If I contact someone with no rate published & she suffers from GPS..  it's awkward.. i don't want to waste her time or my time

As a provider I despise haggling on rates so I have all my posted. I also keep my rates pretty low for this reason. See the goods, book the goods, partake of the goods, pay for the goods. Boom. Everyone is happy!

If I can't find them or see them posted I avoid. It is a waste of time to call and ask for rates.  Rates are part of the selection process.

no dates.

I simply move on to the next companion if no rates are posted. To me, failing to post rates implies she has something to hide and that never means a good thing for the client, IMO.

When I reach out to a new companion, it is to book; not to make inquiries. I don't waste her time, she doesn't waste mine.

This is a simple transaction - no reason to add complexity to it.

Others keep it open because they offer different  level of service. Some women may  see it as  more classy, and probably expect her client to  be in good  financial standing and not be surprised by her rates.
Nonetheless I want to know before the date so I can decide if I want to do it.

If her pictures and profile interest me, I'll drop a dime to ask what her deal is.
I've met a few that didn't post their rate. If the price is right and I have a good feel for her then I'll see her.

And I still get asked what my rates are! I can see if there is a specific request for example a long distance outcall but otherwise my rates are listed on my ads and my website yet they still ask. Maybe that’s why some girls don’t post any rates.

Apparently a lot of men are incapable of reading and just look at the pictures.

Depending on HOW they contact you, especially if they TALK to you, some guys get nervous and tongue tied. They need an easy ice breaker or a way to continue the convo. "Er, um, uh ... Yeah, hello. Errrr.  Uh. So, is this Ka-? Kae-? Kall-? [too hard to figure out how to pronounce; I better switch to something easier]  I saw your ad. So, uh, I was wondering [Can I see you this afternoon? Nah ... too pushy. Gotta find something easier to break the ice.] ... uhhhhhhh ... what are your rates?"
.
Or do you get "What are your rates?" via email and text, too?

Well, confusion may have something to do with your rates. Your TER rate is 400HR and P411 rate is 500HR.

Since I don’t assume, does a TER member get the TER rate!?!

I see she has claimed the profile but would not visit with the TER donation only without asking
Is most likely a case of not updating profile when having an increase.
Many providers have no idea how easy it is for them to get most thing changed or corrected in their profile.

Accurate.  LOL
I have my rate requests posted on my website, P411, and on TER and I would say about 25% of the time I still get asked.
