With all the activity on the board about where they are and what they do, what are their main giveaways?    I agree with the too fit part, the get paid to work out on the job. Is it the Oakley's, the fanny pack? The young ones are brash and fit, the old ones are ashy and out of shape. Do you know the life expectancy of a cop is 57 years? Is that from stress?????? Or from dishing the merde to ya'll?              CD

They don't tip there hand if they are good.  The burden is on the provider to screen and do whatever she can to protect herself from legal entrapment. The only thing that seems "out of policy" for a vice cop is to actually have sex.  He can get naked, fondle etc but to have sex is "out of policy" for most PD's.  But while the officer might get in trouble even having sex may not help only hurt the provider in a prostitution charge. The only solution is to forget the U.S. as I mostly have and go to Canada or most any other country in the world for sex breaks where they don't have such legal restrictions.  The U.S. has no sexual freedom, only tease and titilation.  We can legally knock another person out and seriously injure someone as in boxing but not have the right to healthy, safe sexual release which would benefit our culture if legal and availabe from many wonderful women who choose it sexwork as a legitimate choice as in Canada and around the world.

Interesting, can they have sex with providers if they don't pay at the time? I mean, go as a "civilian", then later go back and bust her. Would'nt that come out in the investigation? Would he have to divulge that he _ever_ saw her a client?                 CD

CD,Given that this forum is most likely read by LE it seems to me to be unwise for any of us to reply publicly to your post.I grant that LE does make mistakes but I would not be so bold to assume that they do not learn from those mistakes.  True maybe not as easily or as quickly as some but learn nonetheless. So for us to tell in public what "LE's Tells or give away" signs are would be mistake. (A “Tell” is a card playing term for the subconscious actions we do when playing cards that when identified allow someone to predicate your hand)Of course since everything we write up on the boards is for entertainment purposes only and is fictional in nature, source, and actions we could post a reply without a problem (a note for all our counselors out there) but lets keep the story interesting and not publicly reply.Just wondering out loud.--JP

You're right JP, I withdraw my question. I just see so many cops, and most think you can't tell what they do. Just wondered if my observations were correct?                   CD  For MoJO's sake I will not remove it!

CD,If you mean by going as a civilian = they engage in sex and there is an exchange of funds before the "private time" but all this occurred while off duty.  Then the officer would be engaging in an illegal activity something that would certainly cloud any prosecution.Or does the officer engage and there is no exchange of funds.  Maybe he is very attractive and witty (Hey it is possible!  Maybe?)  and then provider sleeps with him but in the process the officer discovers that she is a provider than returns for an arrest.  Well that would be a different story. So I am a bit confused as how you intended the post?--JP(Member Team 5)  :-0--modified by JP at Thu, May 03, 2001, 13:53:23

Good points - let me clarify.I was assuming the vice cop is going as part of his sting while on duty to bust a provider.  In Phoenix it is common that they will get naked, even have fondled provider before getting her to say something that he can bust her for.  If he paid her money and had sex, that would be "out of policy" but would not probably be any help to the provider in a criminal case.  While on duty the vice cop can break the law and it is not entrapment.  This is done all the time in drug cases.BUT...if the vice cop was off duty and a client of the provider, this probably would taint any evidence since he can't do something illegal while off duty.  It is only legal to do something illegal... to entrap... while on duty.ALso no money actually has to exchange hands.  I know a Licensed Massage Therapist who does Tantra.  A vice cop asked the LMT if he could have a future session and get a release as part of the Tantric massage.  The LMT said that wasn't a problem.  The next day when LMT returned to apartment, was surrounded by bunch of cops and arrested.  They took computer, massage tables and tons of records.  The LMT was charged with running a house of prostitution (lived alone).  The judge threw the book at the LMT for not being "repentant" and LMT license was revoked.  No money ever exchanged and no services performed only the agreement to provide a terrible illegal act of a hand release as part of Tantra.

Let's say cops need some "entertainment" for a party, and they hire a girl. She does some decidedly illegal acts at said party. When the time comes, if it does, can any of those at the party, in good faith, arrest her?  As they have all participated in an illegal act, which one may effect the arrest?  She is a known local prostitute, and has a record to show it.  How can they say they didn't know it, since they themselves hired her to perform?   Should it be the cop who didn't have enough money to take his turn? Should it be the wife of the cop(also a cop)who would be mad at her skeezy husband if she found out? If I say it's not me no one would believe it, but here goes. I overheard this conversation,it isn't about me.       This has bothered me for a time, why is their d*ck's in her any different than ya'll's?              CD--modified by chrissie dahl at Thu, May 03, 2001, 16:36:58

I have never felt threatened by LE while hobbying.  Honestly, it is so trouble free, especially to those of us that spend the For those of us Southern California hobbyists who spend the majority of our time hobbying at trusted MP's, hobbying must almost seem legal.  Hell, IT IS LEGAL!  MP's are legal, therefore when I frequent a MP I am not breaking the law.  Let LE catch me in the act and they still don't have an automatic conviction.  It is a shame that you feel the need to go all the way to Canada to enjoy hobbying.  Unless you have been busted, I would say that you are blowing this out of proportion...even if you have been busted, maybe you are slicker now than you were then and won't make the same mistake twice.  Honestly, since I started hobbying more frequently in the last year (and for the first time in the U.S. instead of Mexico or abroad), I am VERY surprised at how easy it is to hobby without being bothered by LE.  Of course, I am sure that this website helps an immeasurable amount, and for that I am greatly appreciative and try to pay back my debt to hobbyist society by sharing all I know and continue to learn.

That is why prices are so sky high in the U.S.  In Canada where its legal prices are usually $US150/hr at the most with huge choices of so many women with honest websites, real pictures, great looks and often far more GFE in my view than U.S. providers.  And hardly ever any scams like are so common in the U.S.The legal risk in the U.S. prevents many women from getting in the busines who would be very happy to for the right reasons other than the legal issues.  Result if constant worry by providers about LE, high prices and a very bad sitution providing healhty needed sexual services.I highly respect the U.S. providers but choose not to pay U.S. prices since I enjoy other alternatives so much.Dave in Phoenix

Chrissie, it's the most common four letter word in the English language (besides shit): LIES. If you read a police report, it is, in some cases, equivalent to a Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale. Cops lie all the time. They lie about probable cause. They lie about statements made by the defendants and they lie about their own activity especially in the arena of prostitution. They get away with it because there are usually no other witnesses, they intimidate the provider, and they have extremely huge egos which demand regular feedings. Look at the Rampart Division cases. These cases will ultimately devistate the treasury for the City of L.A. . They are classic examples of a society out of control and focus when it comes to law enforcement. Regards, levendi

You've heard the saying you never hear the incoming round that kills you.  Well it applies here too, ignorance is bliss, and I say that with all due respect to you and your hobbying experiences.  I think we live on opposite sides of the so-called Orange curtain so I've got to factor that in.  But prior to TER I was going through life just as you describe and then a shit storm found me.  In one moment, my lifelong delusion about the police, the constitution, our rights, and the justice system was shattered.  I learned that cops lie, that you have no rights, that you're guilty until you can prove your innocence and that the truth is irrelevant.  It was so bad it literally became a life changing experience for me.   Oh, and that one phone call they let you make- it's on a phone with no receiver (I'm deadly serious).  So live the dream, but don't be surprised if you get rudely awakened.

Stop complaining...put me all the way at the bottom of the Orange Curtain, say San Clemente, and I will be making a weekly visit to Chicago Club or Adelitas and knocking out two beautiful young girls each time for the lump sum price of $150 (including gas, parking and taxis!!!!).

I have to agree with Dave on this one.  The U.S. has too many patriarchial laws that punish people for "victimless crimes".  In the case of hobbying, there are no victims, but only the existence of two consenting adults.

CD These are very interesting senerios you suggest. They are great for the free exchange of ideas with an eye for a kinder social ideaology. If one were to assume the various vinyets were real however, (which, of course, they are not.)  there is NO right answer. Don't even think about it. To even contemplate the idea one could spot a tell card will be catastrophic eventually. The only, (and I mean the only) popssible solution is don't play.Just "fantasizing" about the impossibility of a fair game.It is better to be silent and be thought a foolthan to speak and remove all doubt.

Take this for what it's worth, but LE vigilance varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and your sense of security while at MP's would be more realistic in certain cities, such as Inglewood and Bell Gardens; while LA (including the valley) and Gardena LE are much more hostile. Again, this post is for entertainment and may bear no relation to reality.
