I read it’s based on open source solution but so is Redit so. What do we know that make people feel OK about using it

It resembles Craigslist and Backpage with mostly low-rent hookers and a few desperate ones who lost their website. It's also a perfect honeypot for LE. Our only hope is that TER will eventually get back to being the most useful resource for both hobbyists and hookers alike.

No way to filter.. I see postings from girls all over the Country.. why would I care about susie from California if I'm in NYC.  It's getting better but many do not make it clear where they are. Also frequently its impossible to figure out the donation.  Drives me crazy. I won't consider seeing a $1,000 an hour girl.  I have and see no value in the higher price... if a girl doesn't say what her rates are... I might waste her time. For now, if I am interested.. I see the name.. then go into P411.. and do a search.. that's a pain ...I pretty much figure I will stop trying to see anyone new for now...

They are made by a group of developers in Australia who were founded around April 2017. The main person is a sex worker for 4 years. She also talks to other sex workers. They have a legal counsel. Their goal is to make it safe for sex workers.
.
I am not sure how they can keep the site up if they get pressured from US. One thing may protect them is if they are not for profit. It will be interesting to see how this law will deal with them.
.
I have not joined it because I don't need it or any current sites. For others, I think they can be useful once people understand how to use the site. They continue to improve the site.

Use VPN or TOR to join these sites and don't provide any information that can be easily traced back to you.

I've been on switter for a couple of weeks and they're continuing to make improvements.  It's a work in progress.  They recently added provider listings/ads that you can search by regions (e.g. city, state).  Many of the providers who I know from the TER boards and twitter have migrated over to switter.

Since switter is completely offshore, they say that it's not affected by FOSTA/SESTA.  The switter domain (dot at) is in Austria.  The Assembly Four group who created/launched switter, as well as their servers are all located in Australia.

As for reviews, I noticed the some TER providers have asked to have their home country changed, so their reviews are now back online.  It'll be interesting to see, if other TER providers request the same.  Perhaps TER should consider just changing all of the US providers profiles over to another country, so they'll all be accessible.

I think BP suggesting to people how to get around things is one of the things that got them into trouble.  I don't think TER will be suggesting anything to anybody or automatically doing anything.   Of course if gals report new locations, what's TER to do?  Deny it?  On what basis?

I think it funny people think that any, or all of the sites popping up will be a huge success.

I think TER being very careful, look at options and then will move forward with what it thinks is a valuable site. Make no mistake TER worth a goo deal money. They are the largest and have a huge data base, information is money. They wil not just fold up and go away.

Just my thoughts

Providers and hobbyists all get on an open discussion board and suggest "workarounds."

Provider formerly from Atlanta changes home city to Montreal.  (Quack)
Provider's profile includes a website and P411 that show a home incall in ATL. (Quack quack)
Hobbyists who have only written reviews of Atlanta providers are all suddenly traveling to Montreal (Quack, Quack, Quack).

Without reviews, I'm not willing to see anybody unfamiliar who charges more than $300 per hour. I've got some favorites, and contact info for another dozen local providers that interest me because I read their reviews in the past. For all practical purposes from my standpoint, Switter is Backpage due to the lack of available reviews.

All,

As I drink my coffee my morning thoughts.

Switter is a combination of all. I see Ads that I am sure are nothing more than previous BP ladies to ladies that were strictly high fee. I see very unprofessional ads and posts to very professional posts. And everything in-between.

We should all keep in mind that in some cases, BP and CL were the main Ad source for smaller less major board supported locations. You cant blame a provider for Advertising on the main source for her town. Personally I seen just as many providers of each caliber on every board.

I am not defend Switter. Personally its a mess of crap posts with good posts between. But like any unmoderated posting place, it has some merit. Lots good and lots bad but will focus on one each most important to me.

The good is that its instant, you hit to "toot" and it appears. You can almost have a decent chat if you keep private not to main timeline.

The bad is so many bottom feeders, fakes, scams and BS, simply cannot prevent it.

I believe that as much as so many complain about TER, in its past form it was simply the all round best. I am hoping in future it will be again. I am here to stay and wait see just what a new and improved TER will look like.

I hear a lot of you complaining about the crappy posts. Well, once you learn how to use Switter you can filter those out. I filtered out key words like Findom and camgirl and a lot more. Now i don't see a million adds. I also only look at my Home feed and barely glance at the local feed. I never look at the federated feed. The home feed is like Twitter and is only made up of people I follow. Also in settings I changed my notifications so I am only notified when I am mentioned and not for every boost and like.
If you want to search for people in a particular city you just search #Lasvegas or #NYC and the girls who post for those cities will show up. They also have listings that you can search by listing.
They do not allow reviews so you guys here may not like that. But if you pay attention to what the girls are saying you should be able to glean what kind of connection you would have.
To anyone who says that it is a honey pot I have no idea why you would say that. LE has been on TER for as many years as it has been in existence. And since there are reviews here this is a much sweeter honey pot. How would Switter be any different? News Flash- We are working outside the law. Anyone can get a membership on TER including LE. If you have ever posted a review or received a review then there is hard evidence. I love my reviews so I am not bashing them. I am just amazed that people don't think that LE can see them.
I am going to enjoy this TER honey pot for as long as it is available but I have known the risks since the beginning and I am OK with that.

Reviews aren't evidence. Surprisingly neither are police reports. When I've challenged anyone to give a single case where a review was actually used in court, all they could show was new reports citing police citing reviews.  Police reports are not evidence...because police can be as creative as they want in a report.  What becomes evidence is what can be proven, not merely what can be suggested. A review is essentially treated as a work of fiction until the actual encounter can be proven ... which is incredibly difficult. If you are ever busted it will be because you interacted in person with LE.

I agree with you. Thus I am willing to take the risk because I think I am pretty good at screening. But I do know of at least 2 instances where friends were arrested in Florida. When they claimed that the disclaimer on their site said that "this is not an offer for sex" and that money is for "time only" their reviews were read aloud in court and the judge said, "well your reviews say otherwise".
Now I am sure that their attorney could argue that they are just fiction but try to get anyone to believe that 60 guys all had the same fictional fantasy about 1 girl. Anyway, the opinion is set even if legally they are dismissed.

Well a lawyer can't undo previous statements suspects make to the police, but yes, even 1000 reviews could be fiction.  But I bet those ladies weren't in court because reviews, but because LE came for a visit and she explicitly accepted money for sex. The convo also probably involved discussion of reviews, which is why it got mentioned in court. But she was pinched no matter what.

Any lawyer who allowed his client to use this "disclaimer" as a defense in court would be and should be disbarred for incompetence. THAT is why I called BULLSHIT on her story. I honestly don't believe it ever happened and that she simply invented the story for effect.

One other hole in her story is that in a criminal trial it would not be the judges place to point out her reviews or to otherwise cross examine or refute her testimony, that is simply not how criminal cases are tried. That duty would fall on the solicitor/prosecutor.

The "I have a friend to whom this happened to" argument is used quite often, and just like in this case they are usually filled with holes in the story as the teller has to invent "facts" that don't pass the common sense test because the whole story is just an invention in the mind of the person telling the story.

Wow.....actually, it's a great site where saying things like "low rent hookers" will get you banned. I guess low rent hookers have enough respect for themselves to not put up with degrading comments like this one. Switter has set the bar high by bringing providers and GENTLEMEN together in a safe and welcoming community. So make all the bitter rude comments you want, it doesn't change the reality that US TER is a thing of the past and you are going to have to earn respect and trust from providers just as providers have to do with clients, so if I were you I would maybe get on board with that and let your ego take a backseat.

What she needs as part of her defense are some balancing reviews along the lines of: "I met X at her hotel. Paid the rate of $$$ for time and companionship only. We had a fun time talking about stuff (or "The conversation was forced and awkward but I was PAYING her to talk to me and she put out OK."). Nothing else happened. I asked for a bottle of water from the mini-fridge and she said that was extra. Towards the end of the hour, I got up to use the bathroom (no upcharge for that), put my coat on and left. I would definitely see her again and would highly recommend that you also visit before she leaves town."
.
I wonder how much I should charge for that service?

A long time ago nobody thought Twitter would become as popular with providers but it did and people got bookings from it. I've gotten them too.

Switter definitely has its growing pains. Folks above me have done a good job outlining how to navigate Switter and I suspect it is going to become as common knowledge as navigating on Twitter is. On TER I was as explicit as my reviews were and I have a healthy "fuck it" mentality  and went with it. I'd caution against reviews on Switter though. At least on TER, I can pretend that they are behind a paywall and afford me *some* safety. If you thought TER having reviews caused uproar, phew, y'all are going to have another thing coming for you.
Also? "fiction" my ass.
I do appreciate verification policies coming up. Havewemet.ch. One other review website has changed it's entire thing on verification too. Did you meet her, was she on time, as seen in pictures etc etc. Cos on the one hand y'all are afraid of getting ripped off and I think verification resources takes care of that. And as for not paying more than a certain amount of $ w/o reviews, well, there's always going to be guys who're going to be curious about the high end girls. Plus, rich guys like kept girls and kept girls cost $$$$$$. It is a fact as old as prostitution itself. The kings certainly fucked their chamber maids but there is a reason why their mistresses and their "courtesans" cost so much.
Oh and my handle on Switter is @jasmineisariot too like everywhere else ;)

You think providers are going to lower their donations when ALL U.S. providers have had their reviews taken down? So wait lol you basically look at this as an opportunity for you to take advantage and kick ladies while they're down. Awwwww, what a sweetie you are!!! If you think reviews being taken down gives you the upper hand and the right to negotiate you're not only mistaken but kind of a giant ahole.

It sounds like a big waste of time right now. Before I contact a provider, I want to know if the pictures are accurate, if the provider isn't a ripoff, the hourly rate, and a general idea of what services will be available. If Switter doesn't answer some or all of those questions, it's useless to me, and I would be better off just looking at P411 ads for familiar names.

Without reviews, you can only compete for new business with your photos and your price, and your photos could be photoshopped or swiped from another provider. These are facts.

I don't see this as an opportunity to take an advantage of providers, because I seek quality experiences, not discounts. Switter isn't going to provide me with any useful information, so I'm going to ignore it and stick to providers I know for now. Imitating Twitter was the wrong approach, but probably seemed like a good idea to people who liked to bash TER and P411 in tweets. Hopefully TER will relocate their site offshore and get back in business, because this hobby was very frustrating and disappointing before reviews. Ripoffs, upselling, russian attitude, appointments ending immediately after the first pop. All that continued to happen with BP providers, but providers who wanted to make good money learned that good reviews were important.
