Slixa moved overseas over a year ago, put info on servers in a country that doesnt have agreements with the US under the cloud act and changed to the swiss .ch extension
So why does TER take those steps , surely the revenue they receive from US clients and providers would be worth looking into it ?

but I have to believe that TER is doing EVERYTHING in their power to make this site viable again. After all, they have MILLIONS of very good reasons to do so.

I know almost all of us have been affected by FOSTA/SESTA and the subsequent actions by TER and all the other sites we have come to depend on over the last decade or two, but TER itself is taking the biggest hit of all. This site used to generate $10,000,000+/- a year, and now that revenue stream has dried up completely. Does anyone here REALLY believe that the PTB aren't doing everything they can to get this site back on track?

Personally I am willing to be patient a little longer and hope that the TER lawyers, (no not you fish, the real lawyers) come up with a way to get things back to normal.

I believe TER can't maintain the same format (reviews and links to provider contact info) and have any American citizen ownership.  American owners will have to sell their shares.

I think the USA dating sites over-reacted. I expect to see them return with content restrictions. BP actually seemed to have a good solution, but their goose was already cooked.

I've been getting legal advice from mrfisher for years. His advice has been worth every penny I've paid him!

TER has been useless for reviews for a couple weeks. That's understandable. But by the time my favorite providers moved to Toronto my VIP ran out. They could credit me two weeks. Meanwhile I'm building an unrelated profile on switter. Just sayin'.

They're probably planning to migrate everything overseas and have hidden US-based reviews in the mean time to have some breathing room while they migrate everything. All a matter of time.

besides you are 1-0 representing me. Remember when Priapussy filed a fake lawsuit against me? Who better to defend a fake suit than a fake lawyer, especially one who accepts fake money in payment. lol

Also he advised his clients to take the Fifth.

A fifth of Scotch
A fifth of Bourbon
a fifth of Gin............etc.

The server is in the Netherlands but the registered owner of TER office is in California. They need to move.

They still have the pesky issue of US-based shareholders that could still be liable for US content being shown.

Also, as far as I know, there has not been any legal action using the new laws, so TER has no idea how they'll be enforced, if at all, so they're very clearly playing it safe and keeping their cards close to their chest.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if TER came back at some point in the near future, and I wouldn't be surprised if it closed entirely. Anything is possible.

Then everything should be fine.

BTW, NM is not the only place where they like to drink.

I'm guessing that the people running the site (tecvhies and others) must also be out of U.S. reach.

I think you are correct.  The site must be offshore *and* the folks running it can't be U.S. citizens.

Than "running" it.  A salaried corporate employee would have little, if any, exposure.  The owners or principals deriving "profits" from the enterprise would be at risk.

Now that Aruba changed its corporate share structure in 2015, I'm not sure where I would recommend going to set up anonymous ownership, but I'm confident there are still a few options out there.  I'm actually surprised TER lawyers haven't figured it out yet.  I hope they're not paying them by the hour . . . . wait . . . . . . . what was I thinking? . . . . . . of course they are.  That's what lawyers do.  Lol
