This place is run by Aussie Greg and it is safe. The President of Colombia Uribe has a farm there in this city and it is safe. American Airlines have a direct flight there from Miami. The days of Pablo Escobar are over..and many gringos have stayed there including me.

There is a civil war going on there. I've been to Colombia twice over the last 5 years (Bogota and Cartegena) and had a wonderful time, but the threat of kidnapping and ending up on a camping trip in the Andes with the FARC would kind of ruin the mood.
