yeah, yeah, i'm sure i'll hear from the highly spiritual, sex is just sex crowd.  no dimension to that, so GFY in advance.  otherwise, i noticed a number of providers like to suggest there is a spiritual aspect or spin on their particular flavor of service.  who has experienced such a thing or has anything interesting to say about it.  I remember when Tony Soprano went to Vegas in an episode and took peyote with a young hottie.  what are your stories, guys?  Or ladies, what kind of healing do you do?

Lately I've been taking a shine to tantric providers and love the results.

The mind is, first and last, the most erotic sex organ that there is.

MrFisher, where have you practiced tantra?

I blog about Tantra as well as practice and love to hear feedback and thoughts on personal practice.

What have you found to be the benefits or results that are different?

"TANTRA is a combination of two words, TANOTI and TRAYATI , which mean 'Expansion' and Liberation' respectively. Therefore, it is the activity of expanding the consciousness and liberating the energy. Tantra is the way to attain freedom from the bondage of the world while still living in it... Bring joy, happiness and relaxation into your life. "

When someone asks me what I do I assume they mean, "for a living".

I explain a bit about Tantra; how I teach people to tap into their sexual energy to connect and empower their lives.

I have done initiation weekends that are secret. The reason we swear secrecy is that to take any part of the weekend off the mountain is it diminishes the experience for the initiate. I feel Tantra is similar. It is an ass-backward way of marketing, however, if the attraction is only marginal the teaching will not be profound. When teaching lands on fertile ground it has an opportunity to grow. If not, the seed will land and not germinate.

I like this explanation: "“The point is to channel all the sexual energy that would normally leave during an orgasm, back into your body. It gives you so much energy!”

"Sure enough, achieving the big “O” is not Tantra’s main objective. Instead, you attempt to prolong the act, increasing potent sexual energy and intimacy with your partner. If you focus solely on the grand finale, you’ll miss the amazing range of feeling the rest of the show offers. “Sexual energy is one of our most powerful energies for creating health,” says Christiane Northrup, M.D., author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom. “Through the intimate connection with another, our stress hormones lower and our serotonin shoots through the roof.”" Tantra for Beginners.

Not all of us are lucky enough to have a relationship partner. I decided a long time ago I like sexual connections. I also learned I do not like the idea of marriage. So, what to do? I was married, and see how that turned out. LOL

I avoid relationships that I do not fit, and therefore had a flat or non-existent sex life. I am very keen on my magnetic fit with another. I want to fall in love. Until that happens I will nurture all my relationships to therefore nurture others. I believe that we are meant to connect. On many levels. For years I connected in all ways that were not sexual and felt like I was dieing inside. My art was flat, my creativity was stifled and my heart felt heavy.

When I discovered another way to connect, one without the tight constraints of relationship goals attached to every encounter, I began to wake up, to experience life free of my judgments of myself and others. I really felt the "other".

I channel my life-force, my energy, my unique voice, my only existence I know of, fully in this experience. I want to WANT and be WANTED in a divine way. I love the desire. Desire to create art, experiences, love, eat, connect, feel amazing feelings and move energy in a way that is satisfying and awe-inspiring.

So, using Tantra to connect, to "explore my edges" as a dear friend of mine says, to move energy and feel other voices of the Universe, is getting lucky. I feel lucky every day to have this tool, this ability in my life.

I also know how powerful Tantra is, and I use my powers for good, not evil. I allow connections to unfold, not force them, and create authentic sincere moments. I am not an actress. I want to meet life fully and truly in a way that helps others do the same. I can create any story I want, why not this one? Where Tantra is my super-power and I use it only to change the world one person at a time.

That's a broad topic!  Mrfisher is correct, sex is a healing thing, and it starts with the mind.  Of course, everything does.  A hug is healing, if you think about it.

That's why massage feels so good, it's healing.  And, can be very sensual and exciting.  Touching opens the body to be able to connect spiritually to another person.   It can be for just a moment or two during an encounter, or, if you let your body relax and forget about any expectations (how many orgasms will she have, am I going to come too soon, I wonder if I will be able to get two pops in here), just be in the moment and enjoy one another from head to toe, then get ready to fly away.

It can be "out of this word", for sure!

For thousands of years, people have been connecting their sexual self with there spiritual being, and vice versa.  I have a great deal to say about it... though not the time to type.  So I'll cheat and pull a quick clip from my website:

Philosophy
Our “sexual” energy is the sacred primordial energy of creation. It is the energy that we are born of and that drives our continued existence as a species. This is the core of your bodies’ inherent wisdom, the divine life force. Throughout our lives many factors contribute to our misunderstanding, disassociation, disrespect, and even fear of this energy – and of our own selves. Our relationship with this energy directly and indirectly affects and reflects in our well-being, our relationship to Self, to others, to the animals, to the earth and to the universe itself.

All aspects of your being are entwined in a constant state of movement; interacting, clearing and manifesting. When we are balanced we are literally harmonic. A healthy core vibration is one of expansion, love, compassion and joy. In this state we revel in the miracle of our existence, our intuition is strong and we experience flow. I invite you to shift your perception to remember a deeper reality.

If you're so inclined you can make dishwashing a spiritual experience.

Sorry to be a doubting Thomas, but IMO, many ladies claims about this is an lame attempt to sound either legitimate, or to not sound like a cheap hooker. I am sure there are some true Tantrics out there, but by and large I believe the only spiritual effect you'll feel is the lightening of your step from hormones released from orgasm and the lightening of your wallet.

I bet some do it as an attempt to keep LE at bay - freedom of religion and all that. Just put your donation in the plate - LOL

Claiming a religion does not keep one safe. There was a case in AZ that went to federal court and lost, so the precedence is not favorable. Leaving a "donation" does not keep one safe. Not crossing the street does not keep one safe.

If Tantra were a religion, which I don't know it is established as such, then it would be the mantle of protection, no matter HOW it was practiced.

I practice tantra, is it my spiritual practice, my connection to something more profound than myself. It do it, but not to keep myself legitimate, however, it does deepen my connection to my people. It brings an authenticity that is unique to each relationship.

I went to a provider party some months ago and was shocked at the behavior. It was crass and vulgar. I saw it as this,
'Here are my sex organs grab and grope me as if I were not inhabiting this vehicle for my soul.' I was stunned at the lack of respect for the women, however, it wasn't as if they respected themselves either. I keep myself in way that demands honor, so I wasn't affected by the inappropriate behavior of some there, however, the feeling was not sacred and of honor much like being with Reiki Masters, or Priests, or Nuns. That is the feeling I have often times in the circles I associate with. I am respected for the intense work I have done, the deep connections I have in my life and the practice I keep.

Those that I have seen in my practice who claim to be "hobbiest" are far less honorable than those who have the label of Tantric Seeker. The last one was so forceful it took all my abilities to keep him in check. My Seekers are venerated by me, and in turn they are worshiped as sacred masculine. I create an environment for them to explore new behaviors and stretch outside of their comfort zones by exploring emotional aspects, mental aspects and physical aspects to their persons they do not have the opportunity to do elsewhere. They would NEVER think of forcing themselves or groping me in a disrespectful way!

And yes all things can be spiritual. One of my spiritual teachers said all activities can be meditation, all words can be mantra, all paths can lead to the Divine Mind. So, we can either slog through life void the spark of passion and therefor stop dead in the doorway of Wal-mart staring at the wonderful discounts with our mouths agape. Or we can cultivate that spark of passion and live it in all areas of our lives, feel more alive and awake all the time, not just when the hormones are coursing through our bodies. We can embrace all aspects and have a desire, a desire to connect with another and even simply to wake up in the morning.

B
P.S. I still am amazed occasionally at the low, low prices. ;)
