See some great reviews on a provider.

Called the agency.

The guy said, "She just left your place right?"

I said no.  "I'm new and never called before"

He said, "She only sees regulars."

Did I miss something?

Or could someone be that booked?

Or did they think I was LE?

Try asking on your local board about this agency and its providers.  Or better yet, look at her reviews, pick the reviewers that seem credible, and PM them asking them what they know about it.

I doubt it is you personally. It has happened to me before. The provider could have a boyfriend that is suspect of her side job and she may think he is trying to set her up by using a fake name or one of his friends.  By only seeing regulars, she knows she is safe.

You might also try telling them that you have references.

I read that they're coming in with reviews, board memberships, agency passwords, and rock solid references.

In those places providers are being extremely careful. For some, it might be "regulars only" for the time being. Hopefully, the temperature will drop.

References are not all that safe anymore.

Verification services such as Room Service 2000, Date Check, and others are a lot better way to go.

The area which she writes about in her blog has had some busts, primarly from craigslist. Most of the providers that have been busted are not well known. But it looks like now LE is getting more sophisticated in their tactics and trying to go after bigger targets.

The majority of reputable provider's with Ter reviews in that area mostly use Room Service 2000 as verification, not references.

Back in the bad old day of gas shortages I was on the road and pulled into a station that had a sign up that said "regular customers only."

I asked him to fill the tank with regular.  "Sorry sir" the squeeky voiced kid said, "We only sell to our regular customers."  "But I want regular."  I retorted.  The kid, seeming a bit perplexed, continued.."I mean we only sell to regular people."  "But I'm a regular kind of guy."  was my retort.

More perplexed than ever, the kid filled my gas tank.

Moral of the story:  Don't let words intimidate.  Use them to your full advantage.

Let me add a few comments on this subject.

First, some police officers have "other" jobs that have separate phone numbers and maybe even an employee who answers the phone. They can then get access to any verification site they wish. I personally know of one site that knows full well they have police on the client side and the ladies are none the wiser. I flagged one and my alert was removed. So, no verification sites for me.

I recently began to only see regulars; not because of LE or any relationship issues... Just because I am the type of lady who really likes my close Friends and I only want to devote my time to people with whom I share a close bond.

When considering making this move I found a few other ladies who maintain this same practice.
