I don't get it, why after decades people still celebrate it in the form of becoming broke or short on cash: basically what every single person who's contacted me has said so far in the days after Christmas this past week. "I'm short on cash" so why contact me? And what the hell do they expect to pay, $20?

Not to be a grinch, but having come down to Florida this past week...its been tedious. It's bad enough the Florida market is horrendous: clients here do nothing but bullshit and waste my time with endless texts. I've already had to blacklist 3 and about on my 4th. In the future, I won't even speak to a Florida client unless they have a deposit paid beforehand. it doesn't help I'm behind on all my bills, and just trying to get anything done around this time of year is an uphill battle. I mean, talk about being under seige.

I've told myself this before, but next year I'm making sure to not work the 2 weeks after thanksgiving and the weeks betweem Christmas and new year. Matter of fact, I almost have to be like a school teacher in the summer and just take off from November 25th to January 5th. It's been an absolute disaster and let's just say drowning it in alcohol the other night almost killed me...

So yeah, so over these devilish holidays!

Personally, I've got nothing against drunks (I are one) but angry?  Jake don't play dat.

Huge waste of money. That's why I don't make visit my relatives during the holidays. Years ago I got complaints about things I brought people for Christmas. After that no more shopping for them. I give my wife $400 and tell her buy herself some stuff for Christmas. I have her just buy me a $25 shirt. Last year I did buy my wife a laptop for Christmas. I was feeling guilty about spending $14,000 on a couple of sugar babes.

People expect too much, and become anxious when expectations exceed reality.

The holidays should be treated like a good cognac:  Sip and savor slowly.

I'll be in bed tonight early so as to have a nice early fling tomorrow, and I'll have pleasant dreams

That said, GaG would probably agree (based on experience) I'm about as big a drunk as he is once I return to vodka full time.

I'll put it this way, Jake can hold his own where it comes to drinking. I don't really know if being able to go drink for drink with the likes of me is a "good" thing, but Jake has done so many times.

As for the OP, she does sound like an angry Grinch. If every hooker in Florida was whining about "no business" that would be one thing, but she may want to look inward for the source of her problems. With an attitude like hers, would you want to fuck her?

Holidays can be tough and stressful for many. We def get caught up in the commercial aspect of the holidays buying gifts. But it is a beautiful holiday.

The holiday as far as this business can be hit or miss. Gotta work rest of the year and save. Be smart with your money so that when it gets slower, you are OK and can take the time doing other things. Like working out, spending time with loved ones, reading books, learning new things. Anything other then sitting and sulking and cursing others.

Sorry you are having a tough time, it will get better in the new year. Never let this business direct you to a bottle of anything unless it is for fun!!! :-)

  Happy New Years!

And try Nigeria. Guys there don't talk much. They just get in line and wait their turn outside your tent. The rates are lower, but you will make it up on the enormous volume you will do. No MSOG there so if you're good at getting them off quickly, you can see 6-8 in an hour. Many will tip an extra $5, which equals 25%, more of a percentage tip than you might see in Florida. Then the year after that, when you're back in Florida, maybe you won't whine so much about the customers.

That was mighty generous of you. I am sure those hundreds of dollars you made in the market came in handy. So does that mean you gave your wife every penny you made as a trader?

Had 3 different GF`s who didn`t know each other all tell me that NYE was the worst, saddest and toughest night to be alone in the whole year. My thoughts go out to you Bahamia. Things will get better.

There is abundance of hoes in Florida. The hoes who grow up there learn  skills and go all over the US to making a living as a HO. Many Florida hoes will call a guy back and ask him to wire money or order a pizza.

It's not so much that New Year's Eve is being spent alone. I'm with family now, but the other options would have been spent in Nashville or even Denver with friends. If it came down to it, I'd even just go to a bar or club and find somebody lol. But yes, anyone who is spending any major holiday alone it can be like trying to cross the Nile. In my opinion, new year isn't too bad because that's a friend/party holiday. it's holidays like thanksgiving, Christmas and Halloween that can be a bummer to try and get thru alone. Not to mention the summer holidays can be brutal if you don't know the right people.

My irritant comes from just all the bullshit: drunk guys calling, indecisive guys calling, bored guys calling...it's like it brings out the dumbest in people. And then, cancellations and inabilities to hire are centered around the holiday to blame.

The funny thing is, I don't really FEEL like doing crazy New Years parties like everyone else is doing. Partly because the risk of drinking/driving, checkpoints, accidents, bad hangovers...it's too much potential especially with the fact I'm flat broke and yes, I'm so over 2016 to be over with. Many people have cited it as being one of the worst years recently for them. I liken it to 2008-2009...the year of the recession. That's how bad business has been for me this entire year. Never done worse in my 8 years in business.

Pardon the rant....I'm fine, no need for snide remarks and let's be clear before my attitude was sour, people forced my hand and compelled me to feel this way. But, the days before Christmas I gave every man who Ackowledged me Christmas cards...

These blacklisted johns can disrupt my financial status, but they can't steal my spirit

I had a super nice client pay for me 2 nights hotel at a Mariott property that boasted "social hour" weeknights with food and drinks. When time came around, I asked where was it. Can you believe they told me they were not doing it that week because "of the holiday". This was betweem Christmas and new year. I was fuming and ended up starving all night and their "pantry" had nothing but microwaveable food. Had I known, I'd of had dinner elsewhere.

These holidays just do nothing but change the natural ebb and flow of things and just drives me nuts. Thanksgiving thru New Years is like trying to cross the Sahara desert!

But that doesn't mean we can't have a drink (or twenty) if we find ourselves in the same city at the same time.

and Jake might be overstating things just a bit. I don't want to be the "Biggest" Drunk out there, The hangovers are just too painful after drinking to "prove a point".

In fact, I clearly referenced another miscreant who's a bigger drunk than both of us.
As for hangovers, even after our epic sprees I was never hung over the next day.  I feel like shit every morning whether I drink or not.  Then again, I never don't drink, so...

Check others pricing and put up some new pics.      Do a little marketing with some specials when times are slow.    Message former clients that were good pay.    Good luck

You don't make visits to relatives because of the restraining order. Like most of us they also think you are a wacko.
