The new BETA site is messy and annoying IMO
WHy fix it if it aint broke?! Lol

I do like the star rating system though. It makes it easy to see who is worth taking a closer look at a glance

I guess you were not around for the change to the current site. Yes, its much better than its predecessor and yet, you hear cries that its sucks. Well, I could quote you the same shit that was said about this site. Change is good, my friend. If it makes the site more reliable, faster, why would you care, really?

It is IMPOSSIBLE to follow a conversation on the new board!

When conditions on the ground don't permit a landing; air traffic control will instruct the pilot to fly the plane in a certain pattern at a certain distance and altitude so it stays clear of other planes until conditions on the ground permit the landing.

In essence, it just means "on hold" or "in stasis" when applied to other arenas.

SOME of the new site features, I like.

But the new forum, in particular, is a major step backwards instead of forwards.

This needs to be resolved prior to implementation.

Yes, that's probably something that would give most of us pause, but I happen to like it and it definitely makes it easier to scan the topics.  Having to scroll page after page looking for something also gets old. Again, since you were not around when the current version was rolled out, you should have heard the cries for keeping the old framework. BTW, it's likely that your wish won't come true. The owners in this system chose it after careful consideration I'm guessing and if is less "buggy" than today's format, I'm all for it. Also, my other guess is that the new version is likely going to be easier to work on smartphones, etc., You see, some change is good. You don't impress me as change-phobic and if I could guarantee that it will make you cock harder and give you more staying power, would at least give it a try?

Besides, ultimately admin is gonna do what admin is gonna do.

Trust me, though -- girls don't want me with any more staying power than I already have. LOL

But I don't like it, and I'll tell you why.

First off, it's convoluted. Harder to navigate. And why fuck with something that wasn't broke to begin with?

I understand all things must change. Evolve.

And I come across such things in my work. My company tries to implement something that my customers detest. So, we go back to what they want because they're the one's that inevitably sign our pay checks.

I don't remember getting the memo asking if we want TER to be overhauled, and if so, what we wanted to be done.

I understand Admin wanted to go a different direction. Might've felt the present site was stale.

But if infact they did ask this, and there wasn't much of a response, that should've told them to let it be. IMHO.

So anyway, not much we can do about it. Either accept it and adapt, or move on.

Too early for me to act on one or the other just yet. Guess we'll see.

I like the new site over all. Still many kinks to sort out like putting a simple reply button instead of quote only. Also might as well get rid of the EOM thing because in this format you can see that. I guess they still have it while they are running both boards.

I like the layout better here. Topics that have been replied to get bumped to the top. Attaching imaged to posts make the site look less steryl.


Took me forever to find a post on the older site. Much faster here. Going to other boards the layouts are similar - but bit more advanced and user friendly. Perhaps many have not been to other boards or like many simply do not like change of any sort. I welcome it and hope that the beta site remains and becomes better. Subscriptions to topics after posting on them - with w direct link that you can actually click on would be nice. I find it easier to follow conversation here as well.
