Appreciate the attempt at humor, but in all seriousness I find that "client" and "provider" are both descriptive and non-judgmental.

I would like to know why some guys have such an incredibly difficult time referring to themselves as a "client". I guess "monger" and "hobbyist" sounds a bit more elite and like you are in some special club, where as "client" puts everyone on the same playing field of all guys just being your average Joe Schmo paying to get a BJ. I guess it is kind of the same as the "porn stars" who get offended when they are lumped into the same group as all other sex workers. I had one very angrily tell me that she is not a common "prostitute", she is a LEGAL actress!!!!

I don't think the term monger is anywhere near elite where client would make it sound more like a professional relationship.  I'm okay with monger because I acknowledge the degenerate behavior involved in what we do.  I don't understand why some women think they must tell us we're wrong to refer ourselves as such.  

I recall reading an interview with Lisa Ann, wherein she absolutely shat on providers.  In her view, providers were beneath her and undeserving of her respect or support. I guess there's a part of our brains that desperately wants to find dignity and integrity in ourselves--to feel good about themselves. Some find that by treating other humans well and by doing good works. Some find it (or think they're finding it) by shitting on other people.

You can call yourself whatever you want, but if we want to move forward with our industry as being a legitimate business we should refer to ourselves with legitimate titles. Having consensual sex with another consensual adult and paying for it is only "degenerate" by societal standards right now because of the illegality of it, not the actual act of having sex. And paying someone to have sex with you *is* a professional relationship. Buying weed on the corner used to be degenerate behavior when it was illegal. Now with it being legal the people that sell it in dispensaries are considered having a legitimate profession, just like hopefully sex work will be in the near future.

You're right, she didn't dox him. She wasn't so nice, but not even close to the same thing. That said, as a blad man, I don't like someone being bald being used as an insult.

She attacked her own client (who merely pointed out her statement was false) and brought up his appearance and where she saw him  (information that can be used to identify him) for no reason whatsoever.  

I don't want this to become a legitimate profession, and I don't think providers want that either. Look what happened with marijuana when they made it legal. Prices dropped like a rock as weed went from $400 an oz to $50-$100 an ounce and it is constantly in your face. People still look down on potheads and weed smokers too. If anything there is even more resentment since it is constantly in everyone's face now. Many people have lost a lot of money in that industry as well since the margins are shit and many of the jobs don't pay that well.

In Europe they have giant FKK clubs where immigrants turn tricks for 100 Euros. They will open giant brothels anywhere they can. I don't think the providers charging $1000/hour in NYC will want to compete with the Times Square Blow Job Factory, which will be staffed by H1-BJ immigrants grateful for the opportunity to blow 10-20 dudes a day at rock bottom prices. It may be different for you in Wisconsin, but for a lot of ladies it will mean the end of their career.

There is a HUGE difference between legal vs. decriminalized. ALL sex workers want sex work fully decriminalized, for buyers and sellers. NO sex workers want our profession to remain illegal. Legal vs. decriminalized function completely different. And yes, I do live in rural Wisconsin but I have connections all over the world with sex worker rights organizations. I have never heard any sex worker that I have ever communicated with think that decriminalization will end their career. I appreciate your input on the topic but your hypnosis of what will happen to sex workers is pretty bleak and outlandish and not based in reality. The majority of Europe is legalized, NOT decriminalized, except for Belgium, that decriminalized sex work in 2022. If you have any questions feel free to reach out!!!

...posts what a provider thinks or wants.  But too that, across the spectrum...how many of them will look a few layers into it or a couple years down the road at what their options look like?  Like you said, for every action, there is reaction.   Decriminalizing the sex industry is great for the guys, it's puts us back in control.  It's something that almost every male or lesbo politician who isn't a bible thumper would want, they just can't be seen voting for it.  Put $100 retail bj's in inspected locations where  dude can walk in and pick his favorite flavor or walk down the street to the competition on the ballot for a blind vote and you'll see it passed by a 65/35 split.

Every other vice that is legal is also highly regulated. I understand lots of providers support “decriminalized” prostitution over “legalized” prostitution but is that feasible or realistic? Is the general public going to be ok with unregulated sex work? I’m pretty sure the general public is going to want some rules ro make sure nobody can operate a brothel next to an elementary school.

The majority of the general public views sex workers as "victims" and clients as "villains". If anything we are going to continue to see stings being targeted at clients and sex workers being "rescued". Unfortunately we will probably see Nordic model type legal systems enacted before we see full decriminalization. Street based sex work and large brothels are no longer really a thing with the internet so not sure if that is on anyone's radar at this point. Legalization with any sort of regulation would mean that people would agree with sex work and support it, so I am very doubtful we will see that anywhere anytime soon. The legal brothels in Nevada were very profitable because the brothel owners were in cahoots with police to arrest any non brothel sex workers that were in competition with the brothels. We are also seeing that less and less and even in Vegas there is more tolerance to the sex workers so the brothels are becoming almost obsolete at this point.

I live in Wisconsin as well.  
Upscale providers have to compete with $50 escorts as it is currently! I concur, legalization will bring plenty more cheap providers. I had friends I trained in the business take my clients because they charged 1/4 of my rate. However, sooner or later the client usually comes back because the other provider will usually pull some desperate scammer stunt! Unfortunately, the majority of providers in my area(SE WI) charge 1/4 and even 1/8th of my rate for bare! I don't offer that service at all! Because of this, I find myself having to slightly compromise my rate(Nothing crazy, I'll deduct $20-$40 at most). I'm a older provider(40), but I keep up with my injections, and I keep my body in top shape! I look early thirties at most (So I'm told). It helps to look good, but clients sometimes overlook that for a cheaper rate. In addition, the current economic hardships faced by many isn't helping things at all. With the excessive inflation, people don't have disposable income like before. It's a multi-faceted ordeal!
