Just curious, how reliable is the National Blacklist?  Is it a place for disgruntled people to just trash someone or is it pretty legit? I haven't heard too much about it on any boards but maybe I've just missed it.  And no I'm not on it (and hope to never be) and I'm not interested in placing anyone on it either.  I've just heard about some websites that are unreliable or BS.  Thanks All..

Just search the board, using  the word "blacklist"

There are a few blacklists and I check them all.  On all of them you can see why a gentleman was blacklisted.  Yes, they can be abused just like the review system and White lists on various boards are abused.  Nothing in this hobby is 100%, that's why it's always a good idea to use multiple screening methods along with the blacklists

I agree....if someone has a single report, but others recommend them, I will chalk it up to a disgruntled provider. If there are multiple negative reports, I usually will not see him, even if he has a couple of providers who vouch for him. My time and safety are too valuable to me. Stay safe!

I also see that a provider can be placed on the Blacklist, so if one has many good reviews and has been blacklisted by one hobbyist would someone be concerned?  Thank you ladies and gents....
