Ok - so you've got a hot date coming up. Do you have a pre-game routine to make sure you're in tip top shape and ready to bring your "A" game?

As a maturing gent somewhat beyond the bloom of youth I have medication management issues that are annoying (no - I do not feed stims to my crank). But other than that all I need to be ready to go are the standard hygiene and grooming, a hopefully good night's sleep (4-5hrs if I'm lucky), the basic logistics (envelope, money, gift). Then I listen to jazz on the way to put me in the best frame of mind (YMMV - your music may vary).

I still find that I have ups and downs (well, of course I do, but you know what I mean ' ) Perhaps this is normal or maybe I'm just past my prime.

The only variable that I cannot account for and which will sometimes cause me problems is if getting together does not go fairly smoothly. Too much drama just trying to get into shared space and time is a bit challenging for moi

Anyone want to share your pre-game warmup, or give some helpful hints?

I object to the term "pre-game," but thats no nevermind right now.  I always have an idea as to how the encounter should go, as the lady usually hasn't a clue, except to get it over with.  So I'll sketch out some good ideas and toss around some schemes.  Sometimes it actually goes according to plan.  I have even had ladies look at my notes and literally go by my writing like its a script.  While others run screaming.

As far as music goes, I choose stuff that I can't get outta my head and insert some phrase that is pertainent to the situation,  Like Cher's "HalfBreed" - I might change it to "AssSex" to the same tune.  And sing the chorus over and over in my head.

Well, I kinda do.

First I count the donation (twice to make sure it's right) and place it in the p.w.e.

Then I get two covers to take just in case the lady only has one or none to avoid the problem.

I also include my toothpaste/toothbrush with the envelope.

I check and make sure I have the ladies phone number in my phone so i can text/call when I get near.

I set in my head what time I need to leave work (I usually do my visit around the lunch hour) to get to  our point of origin.

Then I daydream about what I want to say and do when I first get there.

I have a couple of CD's I enjoy on the drive (Leona Lewis right now).

On the drive I let my nerves/excitement build until I call and find out the room number.

Then walking to the room I try so hard not to let people see my shit eating grin shine!!

Afterwards I feel like I'm walking to my car on air.

While I normally keep the netherlands fairly short all the time, the night before I take extra time to newly shear myself. I always use a disposable razor. Not a cheap one. It has to be the day before. Two days and the stubble is unacceptable to me, but I’ve never gotten complaints (it’s not like facial stubble). Less than about 24 hours and there is not enough time for any potential tiny cuts or abrasions to heal. Only once have I had to postpone due to mistakes made at this phase (ouch).

I’ve been taking Cialis for about a year now. With lowered blood pressure from beta blockers, it really helps. Again, timing is key. I’ve found that taking it 8 to 12 hours ahead is optimal. Sometimes I have to set my alarm for the middle of the night, just to take the helper.

The morning of, I shower. I prefer to shower again shortly before she shows up if outcall or right before I leave for her in call. Even so, I prefer ladies that offer me a shower after arriving. I’d prefer to take a short, quick shower again at her place even if I’ve just cleaned even up a hour earlier. Really squeaky clean is always better than just clean.

Timing is important in the teeth brushing department. Too soon before and there is an increased chance of invisible cuts or abrasions that increase risks during DATY. So I’ll brush an hour or two ahead, then use plenty of medicinal style mouthwash minutes before meeting. Top that off with some sweet tasting spray or mints right before walking in.

Other preparation habits depend on whether it’s in or out call. Out call allows me to control the music. I keep my favorite play list mp3s on my laptop, comprised of smooth jazz female vocals (Shirly Horn is my favorite). Outcall provides greater opportunity for preparing a more sensuous environment, but the responsibility of course becomes hers. (I just love it when the lady takes the time to make her place really sexy). I wish I could do it for out call but it’s too cumbersome to travel with so many goodies.

Bottom line, as with most things in life, you get out what you put in.

try to get a quick nap in the after noon.  I eat something around 4 hours before the date.  One hour before I take a nice shower, shave, and then read casual stuff (newspaper or magazine) until 5-10 minutes before the doorbell should ring.  I light the candles and turn on the music and go back to reading until ....

I have a ritual that takes approx 1/2 hour before each and every meeting.
I find the feel of warm water running off of my back and the scent of
my body wash extremely rejuvenating.  The stroke of a warm soapy sponge
across my skin titillating and the application of lightly scented cream to my
skin arousing. Hygiene is not only paramount and an extreme aphrodisiac,  makes for the
perfect prelude to a meeting.

visit and get the heart beat up.  Some weight lifting and really get loose.  Makes the body look fresh and toned (well, as much as I can get!)

Home, shower for 1/2 hour and make sure all the parts are clean and lubricated.  

I only do incall so when I arrive I'm fresh and ready for the fun.

I say a quiet prayer to the penis God that it work and behave itself.

I think I've mentioned a few times the extreme I go to before a date:

Shower, shave, shampoo, condition, lotion, blowdry, makeup, clean the bathroom, change the sheets, light the candles, fireplace, put on the music, wash the dishes and put them away, chill the cocktail (or whatever) glass, spray air freshener throughout the place, spray linen spray on the bed, make sure cat is fed, adjust the lighting, clean up any clutter that may be laying around, oil up my legs and butt and tummy, spray a little perfume on my hair and neck, buff my feet, put out the nice glass for mouthwash and towel, get my wooden hangers for his clothes, place a towel & lube & massage oil & C's on the bedstand, put on his favorite colored sexy outfit and heels, etc. Needless to say, that can take a couple of hours. I know many women who don't do half the things I do, are not prettier than me and are much higher with their donations.  Geez! I should crank up my donations. Who appreciates all of that?

and I go to great lengths in preparation, as well. I do, however, draw the line at the sexy outfit and heels. They would clash with my beard.

maneuvering about the kitchen may be a bit of a problem. I'd be knocking things over with...well, you get the picture.

I like to shovel 3 to 4 inches of wet, new-fallen snow the morning of an assignation.  It's best if there is no two cycle oil to be found so I can't use the snowthrower.  The bright glare of sunlight on fresh snow is pretty sure to keep me tearing up for hours, and the healthy, manly exercise virtually guarantees my back will go into spasm long before any cups are spilled.  Yup, exercise.  That's the key to a really good time, all right.
