This relates to the post below where the gent was asking for info on which boards to use in certain areas.  

If there are some boards that are ok to mention here and some are banned and are not ok to mention....how do we know which ones are ok to mention?  

Is there a list of banned sites here anywhwere?

It's pretty much that simple.

I think mentioning any competing review site is forbidden.

as long as it is not a *pitch* for TER or a shill for a lady.

Yes I know that TER is first and foremost a for profit enterprise.....

however....

when a business depends for its existence on a certain sector of the economy or on a certain community, it is *good business* to promote communication that is useful to that sector
or community.

A business should not be afraid to stand on its own merits in my view....

I don't recall ever reading anything other than quotes such as 'elsewhwere', 'another board' etc....


Before DC and LP beat everyelse to it  ....there are other boards????

On a couple I have more reviews going further back than on TER. I use different handles on each. Only on one other board is it generally known that GTM is the handle I use on this oThER board.

By the way - the convention: oThER board is genereally used to refer to this place on the "other" boards I use lol....

Actually I was the guy inquiring about mentioning competing boards. Although it's 'forbidden', I did leave them in my original post, and the mod edited that post. For that I have no problems with. I don't care if they don't want me to post the name of the competing site... I just don't want to be forced to pretend that competing sites don't exist and affect my judgement. After all... I'm a VIP here and a few others. The site that patrols the hardest will get a stiffest yank from my monthly membership.

diversification in advertising is key.  We just don't have the luxury/option of only using one board.
