For me, it was quite by accident. I was looking at real estate sites for property in North Carolina. When I clicked on a house that interested me, somehow the two sites had glommed onto each other, and there she was. The first time I ever saw a lady's website. She was lovely, and I swore that I would meet her someday. She has since retired, and I never did get a chance to meet her.

and I haven't looked back yet.

I was looking for info on the Brothels, and found a message board that rated the ladies.

Years later, I hobbied again, and found info on local ladies, and haven't looked back since.

I wonder how local ladies advertised before the internet?

When I was but a babe as a provider, a gentleman caller was kind enough to point me in the direction of another review site who's name shall not be mentioned. Exploring that site led to the discovery of other sites dedicated to escorting, which inevitably led me to the wonderful world of TER.

I used Yahoo's search engine for "escorts" and ran across both this site and (they aren't worth worrying about anymore) TBD.  TBD was first and then this site came along a couple years later.  I've been a member here since some time in 2000.

I had been hobbying for years by using local classified ads, yellow pages and advertisiment papers sold at a local adult book store.  Luckily, in the years before the Internet review sites I only got ripped off twice.  There was actually kind of a thrill not knowing who would show up and what to expect.

in Tampa and she suggested I check her ad on an escort mall (purposfully left blank).  From the escort mall I clicke on the link to TER and discovered this site.  I originally used TER for research only, buying VIP, but then later discovered the discussion boards.  My education began all over again.

In the Fall of Y2K, I was heading to Vegas for a conference.  So, I was surfing the internet for things to do in Sin City besides gambling ...LOL.

Low and behold, I stumbled upon a link to Blake Wilfong's "Unofficial Chicken Ranch" website which had info. about the legal brothels in Pahrump, NV (about an +1hr. drive from Vegas).  Out of curiosity, I decided to check out the Chicken Ranch and rest is history.

Of course, I discovered "Indies", TER, the "other board", about a year later, after making friends with some fellow hobbyists at the Nevada brothels who played on both sides of the fence.  In my early days, I was very hesitant in persuing the "Darkside", since it wasn't legal.

I still have hobbyist friends who prefer the Nevada brothels because they're legal, but I've been drawn over to the "Darkside" ...LOL.  It's a lot more fun and I don't have to travel ca. 2000 miles to Nevada!

There was this really cool ad for TER in Penthouse magazine.  The ad had a photo of a beautiful blonde.  The title said, "Will she or won't she?".  It piqued my interest.

CL!! .... Then I ended up on TBD, only to get banned from there 4 months later!!! When TER joined the game, in 1999, I signed up, but being me, I was honored as the first jerk to get banned from TER!!

After much begging and promising to behave on message boards, got reinstated, and since then I have been on my best behavior not to get banned my ass kicked again, I can't live without my daily dose!!!!

In NYC it was The Village Voice, and later, The East Village Other.

In Boston, it was The Phoenix.

In any case, any city of any size had them and in the back there were always personal ads that had what we are looking for.

It was pot luck as there were no pictures, and a very brief ad that was usually BS.

Nevertheless, I did fairly well by them, but with the net, things are 1000% better.

I was very unhappy with my marriage and considering straying, and signed up for some online "affair" website...during my research I happened upon some site out there that broke down "sex workers" and how it all happens, and that led me here.   Once I was here, one thing led to another, and there you have it.

on CL.  I started wondering what that section called Erotic Services was all about.  Hey!  women post nude photos of themselves, cool!  Some suggest that I should look at their reviews on TER.  So I discovered TER.  Two months later my wife decided to spend a week visiting her mother.  I was bored and horny and you know the rest.

and they gave the web address of TBD. I was curious, clicked on the website and was introduced to a whole new world. Shortly after reading the discussion boards I discovered TER and the various escort mall sites. Been hooked ever since. I guess you could say law enforcement introduced me to this hobby. LOL.

I too got into this biz by default I guess.
Broke up with my Bf   Quit my job   and two things gone...was looking for job oppertunities under food service on cl.(was a waitress)
Started scanning the sight and a big light bulb went off.
"Hmmm...I can do this...well if I don't like it I'll go back to work."  Love, Love, Love my job...
