I would suggest that you take it up with Admin, and basically contest the review, if they find your side of the story more believable they will remove the review.

Considering you have several pages of reviews and you are only his second, you are most likely to be given the benefit of the doubt, but just remember he has the right to tell his side of the story as well. All you can do is provide as much evidence to support your side of the story as you can, and keep in mind that your several pages of mostly positive reviews will most likely make this of small consequence, even if TER does not remove this latest review

In my case a client is caught and reprimanded (even blacklisted) for inappropriate behavior. why is he allowed to write something that is intentionally harmful to my reputation?? first you can contactTER and present your case they may delete his review. And if that doesn't work and he has one review out of several that tell a different story nobody's going to listen to it. I can only speculate through my opinion. Reviews are supposed to be honest when written, therefore every review written is honest. Until the reviewed, appeals to have the review removed.

First of all, this has been going on for years and it happens on both sides.  It continues because this little world of ours attracts wack-Os of both sexes.  Sex is the most primal thing we do and many people have some serious neuroses around it.
So, yes, misogynists will manipulate the review system to get free sex or non-menu items by bullying.  And BSC hookers will threaten and blacklist guys who write honest reviews in order to keep their scores high.
Sadly, it is in the nature of things and is unlikely to stop.  Which is why this game must be played with care.
In any case, every story is nothing more than a "he said; she said" unless there are other parties heard from.

You've gotten some advice so I'll just add that in general, I start from seeing both sides to the story and then look at the specifics before making my own call.

In your case, if it's the review that was just posted, it looks like an uncharacteristically low, outlier review for you.
Plus, I note the reviewer only has two reviews, and no posts on the DC or NJ board. So, he has a limited review history while you have a long history and a track record of better reviews. in general, the lowest you've gotten going back for years are 7/7's, which are still good scores.

When I skim the bad review, I take away that he is really blasting the agency for not refunding more of his money for a cancelled appt,  
and not you for the most part for being ill (he did make one snarky remark that you appeared well beforehand, but whatever).
As in a recent thread, I certainly wouldn't hold it against a provider for getting ill during an appt- shit happens.  

At the same time, if his story was true, then I believe the agency could wrong for not refunding more  money (he only got 1/6 or 17% back). Again, see the thread a few days ago on provider cancellations. Unless there's some extenuating circumstance that we should know about the reviewer, the reviewer said he got 20 min and didn't bust his nut once. The opinions range on how much monetary responsibility to assign to the one who cancelled but it seems like more than 17%. I would have demanded all my money back. IMO, nutting is an all or nothing situation unless the guy has a physical problem.  

There's good news and bad news.  The bad: if the facts are true, you may have trouble getting TER to remove the review because he can prove that you saw him and he likely can prove that he contacted the agency to request a substitute or more money back. The good: I wouldn't hold this particular review against you as a provider based on what I see.

But maybe you're not talking about this review.

While I'm certainly no expert here compared to the others that have commented, I have made a few observations when it comes to reviews.  

First, there is not an easy or simple answer here.  My philosophy is that there are three sides to every story.  As it is in these situations, there is no way to know what the true middle ground is, but they get taken with a grain of salt.  They are all opinions, just like assholes, and sometimes they just stink.  

Second:  Consider the source.  I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you are referring to the last review on your profile which is way far outside the norm.  Statistically, he's more than two Standard Deviations (statistically speaking, ok, a pun is intended there!) outside the median of your scores.  Considering there is yours, and only one other review this person has done,  that is pretty suspect there as well.  From what he states towards the end, I'm going to have to kick the degree of Deviation much higher (LOL).  The majority of guys here would probably do the same, as well.  No established history, not much confidence in the review or reviewer.  
 
Third: Based on just what I read, and the photos on your site, the review is false, he is BSC and I would not consider it.  Beautiful blond lady, good reviews, if I was in the neighborhood I'd probably be inclined to give you a holler.  

It sucks you got a bum deal on that one.  This is where the screening comes into play.  Going through an agency, you basically trust them to cover your butt.  A good friend got out of agencies due to no screening and no safety or protection from them.    

Whether your office is in a hotel, or you live in a prairie dog cubical farm, we all get shitty reviews from time to time.  My suggestion is that you get two really nice bottles of wine, turn on some loud music, and make a voodoo doll of this fucktard and get it out of your system.  Drink a big glass of water and take two enteric coated asprin before you go to bed and you'll feel better tomorrow

He booked you through the agency. What happens between you and the agency is another matter.

The customer should have bailed if you didn't open the door. Then he should have contacted the agency, as a last minute cancellation.

if you have been truly wronged by this guy you should stand up for yourself as it looks like you are trying to do.

On the other hand like the others have said there are 2 sides to every story and since none of us were there to witness the event it's always hard for us who read these reviews to know who is telling a true story. On my part I have regretted not paying attention more to the very few negative reviews some very highly rated providers had like out of close to a hundred as those guys experiences came to be true for me also and yeah maybe I just caught them on a off day but being conned,manipulated and treated with hostility and rudeness goes beyond just being off ones game so to speak.

To be honest I did not even review those girls for different reasons but one of which was due to the fact that I more than likely would be looked at as the one lone malcontent who was probably just a jerk and deserved this treatment while all the others say she is a "10". Like another has mentioned there is no winning with this!

You are driving while reading and responding to TER posts! That is almost as bad as driving and getting a BJ - bad for the other poor motherfuckers on the road at risk of losing their lives thanks to you.

Someone participating in this discussion emailed me and suggested I tell my side of the story. After I posted my review, Dallas emailed me stating she was dissatisfied with my review. This was her email to me:  
       
"I know you were upset with the way our session ended and you expressed that to the operator. In the end telling me you would hurt my business was an unfair threat. Please help me understand why you wrote hurtful things about me that were not true and hurtful because you were unhappy with the agencies policy. I felt you were harsh and forceful and that is no way to treat a lady. I'm sending this to try and better understand why you would score me so low when you claimed there wasn't even a session? I'm asking genuinely, this review will stay with me even if i move on from the agency. I told you i couldn't change their policy.... And i know you were upset and so was i. Please respond ad soon as you can."

This was my response to her:  

"Look, except for my review, you have pretty solid reviews and overall rating. I doubt your business will be affected as you seem to provide a great time for other clients. However, for reasons I still don't understand, you decided that you and I should only spend 20 minutes while almost taking the donation for the full hour. I am not sure why you did that but it wasn't cool at all. I felt ripped off. I blame both you and the agency for that, and I reflected that on the review. I still don't understand why you stopped our session. Do you have a problem spending time with a black guy? Did you have a long day and decided not to spend the time with me? I don't think it was because you were sick, and I don't think it is a good way to run a business. Anyways, as I said, you seem to be a great provider for other clients, it is just that I didn't see that side of yours.

Just for the record, I didn't threaten Dallas or even come close to it. I paid $300 for an hour of her time, and our session ended after 20 minutes in her request, and I was only refunded $50. It was the agency's decision that I be refunded $50 after she called the agency and told them that she had decided to discontinue the session. She claimed she was sick though I have serious doubts that was the case. My hunch is she either didn't have stuff that would make our time together safe, or she simply doesn't like spending time with black guys in that way.

Since her other reviews are overwhelmingly positive, it is possible that she was just having a bad day. But, I think black men, and possibly colored men in general, should think twice about meeting her since I did get the impression that was the reason. If other black men had a positive experience with her, I highly recommend you state that on the discussion board so as to get that out of the way. I didn't include my hypothesis in my original review as I thought it would be irresponsible to do so. But, here in the discussion board, I have decided to let it out since that has been my primary impression all along.

I have known this lady for years, was one of her first reviewers, have seen her many times.  I know better that this review.

You took it out on the lady.  Not sure of the whole story,  I have had issues before, but never took it out on the lady with a rip of a review.

If I were arbitrating this, I'd start by awarding you at least a 66% refund including the $50 you got.  
I'm still on your side about the business aspect of a cancellation.  

However I would then dock you for the slanderous speculative public statements you just made and suggest you owe the lady an apology. I'm surprised TER let you air the transcript from private communications.

Contrary to what I originally thought, you do bear a personal vendetta. Unless there's something else, you did not offer a shred of evidence as to why you think you were discriminated against. Certainly not enough to caution other black clients that she could be discriminating. Im sorry for the cross you bear as a John of color, or whatever you want to call it. Maybe you want us to hold her down for you so that you can finish what you started. Lol.

I am no longer with that company, I can only do my best to move forward. I will never give apologies for not allowing to be pushed around I just wish the whole story was told.  I will however guarantee that  I will respect everyone I come in contact with regardless of race, age or creed!!
