I'm not normally a very emotional guy.

This one made me cry. That someone cared enough to answer this is... beautiful.

It did the same to me.  What a beautiful story.  One that everyone should read, especially at this time of year.

That is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read.  Thanks for sharing.

Similarly, every year, many kids write letters to Santa Claus at the North Pole and mail them.  The post office in most major cities (I live in NY) put the letters out for people to take and buy presents for the kids and send them to the children.  It is a wonderfully worthwhile project and I'm pleased to say that my employer participates every year in helping give underprivileged children in NY a wonderful holiday season.  This year, we helped over 400 kids.  I wish more firms would participate in programs of this sort.

It just goes to show that a few random acts of kindness go a long way.

Have a great holiday season.

This letter sure gives a warm touch to the cold, dehumanized society we live in.  What makes it even nicer is that the postal worker who sent the letter wrote it anonymously (i.e. said it was from God).  He/she deserves a recognition award.

But why can't this be on the news?  I guess most people just want to see drama and political agendas, like dirty busts (in the best interests of the community, of course).  Oh well.

My daughter's yellow lab recently was put to sleep with cancer. I think we will have our 4-1/2 year old grandson write a similar letter and, hopefully, get a similar response. It is a great learning experience for the kids.

Thank you for sharing the story. It brought tears to my eyes, too.
