The White List is for provider references of Hobbyists. For example, if you have seen a provider and she knows you are not LE or a nut case, you could ask her to "White List" you. It is like a recommendation from her about you. Being White Listed may carry some weight with other providers and can simplify the screening process. It's sort of like a reference you can offer prospective providers.
How to get White listed? Just ask the lady when you're finished if she uses the White List and always remember to be a gentleman. Or she may provide the White Listing on her own initiative.
When someone clicks on the link to your reviews, said providers' names will be listed at the bottom of your list of reviews indicating that they put you on the list. You can also see if you’ve been White Listed by clicking on Account Manager at the top of the screen, then click on “My Referrals” on the left.
1) Only providers who have been reviewed AND who have had their review profile linked to their TER user ID can white list.
2) She will have to know your TER ID to white list you.

I have noticed lately that in some regions of the country (PA, OH, IN for example) indys.com seems more popular than TER. Any particular reason?
More interestingly, it appears that indys.com has a "vouch" system which makes providing references efficient for both hobbyists and providers. Any thoughts about doing the same on TER? Any comments about using that vouching system on indys.com?
There are a few other sites that tend to be more "regionally" popular. Besides the one you mentioned there is another site that seems to be very popular with Texans and Ohio folks.
While the "vouching" thing has it's good points, any provider doing a search on a hobbyist can see the member's # of reviews and probably who they reviewed. Another plus factor is how long ago they saw someone.
That a provider may have vouched for someone, that could have been over a year or more and they might not remember the person if being used as a reference.
Maybe you'd like to drop the suggestion into the "Suggestion & Policy" forum. You might even find other comments regarding this topic.
some, really most in my offerings of it,do not want to be on the whitelist...don't quite understand why but they have their own reasons and should be respected. don't believe that a provider should whitelist a guy without asking him first.
