I have a new fake AF review. I reported it & am confident that TER will eventually have it removed. Last time this occurred it took a month to delete from my profile. I am curious what’s the consequences for posting false reviews? If anything I think 🤔 providers who are honest should be credited free VIP days for reporting a problem & doing their due diligence to make sure their TER profiles are updated.  

My understanding of the process is that a provider may challenge a review as fake, and then the burden shifts to the reviewer to disprove the claim of fakery by submitted evidence to TER that he actually saw you.  This can take the form test or email exchanges of telephone logs showing multiple calls.  

Imagine you are me & you have been here 20 years and have an unverified review regardless what the score is it’s a lie.  What would you do? Pretend you’re a provider.

IMO, this is not cool, but also not a situation where you award the provider for reporting it. You're reporting it to your benefit. The reward is the review being taken down. Now, it shouldn't take a month. But it should involve the reviewer being given the chance to prove otherwise. If it's too easy, than a provider can just take down any review they don't like.

You submit your claim of fakery to TER Admin and they will go through the process to determine what the right thing to do is.  If the reviewer disputes it, they will weigh the evidence.  If there is no dispute from the reviewer, he concedes either by default or through absence of contradictory evidence that your claim is valid.  

for a review that is taken down, how do you propose distinguishing between a review that was intentionally written falsely from the beginning, and a review where the reviewer saw her, but cannot meet the burden of PROVING he saw her because he did not save the contact exchange, such as text or email messages, at the time he booked, in which case, a righteous review comes down because the reviewer does not have evidence to dispute the claim from the provider.  He is already being punished by having he review removed and disgorging the VIP days he was awarded from the submission.  What other punishment would you propose that would not be manifestly unjust if his loss of the review is merely from not saving evidence of booking.  

Simple. You do not punish the reviewer just because he couldn't prove he saw her and, therefore, the review was taken down, if this is the criteria for taking down reviews. I agree, if it's actually that easy, it wouldn't be fair to punish a reviewer just because they do not have the receipts.

Sorry to hear that now you have to suffer from sick individuals who posting bogus reviews ;( try to provide as much information to TER support as you can. They will investigate fake accounts and I’m sure they will remove it real quick! Sending love, hugs and kisses! Stay strong baby!

Call them human. That's why the world is what it is today, and is becoming more and more of a difficult place to navigate. But good will always triumph over evil.  
As mentioned in earlier threads, I am very sceptical when I see attempts to tarnish a good providers reputation.  
TER is got a good number of trolls, many good minded clients, but there are also clients here that are just not good people - for whatever reason.  
I think TER  needs  to do more to clean the site up of trolls,fakes,and liars .Many of them are not paying members anyway, and even if they do, not all money are good money as they say.
If someone get caught trying to tarnish a provider's reputation, a three months ban from the site as a first punishment would be suitable, next time a permanent ban.  
Sure some will try to resurface under a different aliases and even IP addresses, but they are who they are and will eventually be discovered,

So crazy to see this post right now since I literally sent a message to admin less than 5 minutes ago about a fake review. I'm not on here regularly and just noticed the last review on my profile is fake. So frustrating & I'm hopeful the reviewer does the right thing.....

I'm glad TER is taking it down for you. I've heard it's hard to get reviews taken down though since it's hard to prove who they are.

I just saw another provider who has reviews, but never linked them to their profile. Why not? It’s super simple.

I’m not the 1 to accept fake reviews regardless of the score. My fake review was finally removed. As a VIP member here on TER with 20 years of integrity please don’t waste your time submitting fake reviews for me personally because I have required a deposit to book, since 2010 & I will dispute all fake reviews that never occurred.

Don't just pick another provider....don't write a fake review of someone you've never seen in the first place!

What if he did see you but lied about stuff? So then he might have proof he saw you but that doesn't mean the review is valid.  
Also most of the reviews I have challenged were good ones score wise ,but they just said I did stuff I don't do. So I obviously am not whining about bad reviews.

You said the process is ALWAYS fair to the provider .No such thing as always. I know of more then one provider who I read their fake review and told them about it as many do not follow. Most were unable to get them removed or gave up because of the BSthey had to go through. More were good then bad and the other thing about allowing them is after X number of fakes one can become a “ trusted reviewer” . Then I get called on a fake can say whoops- I reviewed the wrong “insert name” and  not be named.

speak in absolutes, because there will always be outliers in any majority.  A better comment would be to say the vast majority rather than "always."  I would not have even thought of claiming I reviewed the wrong provider, because the detail I include would be specific to the lady I saw, and I always include a physical description with her notable attributes in the first paragraph, so the reader knows who I'm taking about, so what you are describing as a claim that the wrong provider was reviewed will only work for guys whose reviews are a few sentences and lack any details that might point to a specific provider.

Fake reviews go both ways. I’ve met numerous providers that simply do not live up to their review status. They are bought and rewarded with ‘special rates’ imo. Also I wrote an honest review of a very highly regarded lady years ago and posted it. She proceeded to threaten and tried to ambush me calling my workplace, leaving me vm’s. It was borderline criminal. I took down the review in fear of my safety and security as I gave her significant info in the screening process. It goes both ways!!
