I am increasing my rates for the new year, I am relying less on this business and also because my reviews are stellar. Most of my clientele are repeats.

What is the best way to go about grandfathering in my repeats? It is only a 60 dollar difference incall more for outcall. My rates start at 300 incall.

Is there currently an issue for men to appreciate a woman at 360 for incall? Ive been reading the threads and its very mixed.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I think alot of it depends on where your located and the services you provide.  For those that are regulars I would let them know that the usual donation stands for them but your raising your rates in general. That way if they see a new advertisement they don't ask questions and there is no confusion.

Dear Taylor:
When entertaining or considering a rate hike what are the items of interest that you tend to consider? Also with that said would you tend to look at your expenses in reference to the hobby and see exactly where the would be and how much revenue that you would have to raise at the current level of frequency that you entertain in order to be functional and profitable? Finally in reference to grandfathering in current clients, what are the items of interest that you would consider when determining who would be eligible for the more favorable rate? Would it be frequency and preference of the particular client? Also how often would a current client have to see you if you were considering grandfathering him at a previous rate in order to be considered at that rate? I just wanted to see the thoughts from a business perspective of a provider when she would be contemplating and debating such decisions.

If you are a lady I haven't seen, but want to, your increase will have no bearing on whether I see you or not. If you are a lady who I have seen and want to see again, I would take being grandfathered as a nice thing to do (and probably make the difference up in a tip), but it would not have any bearing on whether I see you or not. I'm not a trust-funder, but if I see someone I'd like to spend time with, your increase would not stop me from calling.

Seems to me that what ClassyTaylorVIP said would be the best way to do it.

I also agree with moutoncadet. Your increase wouldn't keep me from seeing you. It may prevent me from seeing you as often. If you offered me the "grandfathered" rate I would be appreciative. I would however eventually begin paying you your new rate.

Different people have different definitions of many terms in this hobby.  I have found "repeats or regulars" is one of those terms.

Is a repeat once a month, once a quarter, or once a year?  I think you have to set that definition in your mind.

Personally and IMO, if I was visiting as often as once a month, I would be hurt if my rate was not grandfathered and it would affect future visits.  However, if I were once a quarter or less, I would expect to provide the going rate as set by the provider.

Why in the world should she give up the opportunity to not only tell her regulars how important they are to her, but to give herself the potential for many of those same regualars to voluntarily bump theselves up by tipping her accordingly?

You would be amazed how many guys will make up the difference between the two rates by leaving a tip the same size as the discount.

Go ahead and raise your rate.

If I had seen you previously and saw your new ad with the higher rate, I would either pay it and be done, or ask to see you at the old rate and if we had a nice time, tip you the difference to your new rate anyway.

You also stated your not relying on this business as much this year, so if a few clients dropped off, perhaps the revenue from the rate increase would bring you back to the same total amount with less appointments.

They probably don't read your website beyond your schedule if you include that there, so it may be awhile before they even realize you bumped up your rates.  When they do find out, they will mention it; just tell them that the bump-up doesn't apply to them.

Sounds good thanks. I have been reading about how there is a six month grace before raising. I have a client who started me off on TER he is currently at 260 and it really does bother me a bit, because my rates are 300 and I do give over 110%, I love to please. But its been about 5 months I see him at least once a month, so Im thinking about bumping him to my old rate of 300, what do you think?

This makes a lot of sense. If its a person I see at least once a month, why not keep them at the same rate...and grandfather in, Ive read 6 months as being an adequate amount of time; but other than that it really dosen't make a difference. Thanks for your thoughts.

I was a new lady's first review anywhere...  Initial lowrate.  She grandfathered me for a long time at that intro rate...  when she raised her rate again, I bumped my donation to her previous rate without being asked.  It's still a good deal & she knows I appreciate her.  She makes time for me when I call.
I do think you must consider your local market & your regulars...  a regular who you have a good time with is valueable.

Despite your alias, it is apparent that you are a provider rather than hobbyist.  Also, I agree that we hobbyists who value our lady friends will make up for the higher donation by just slipping in the extra $, IF we know about it.   None of the ladies I know who bumped up rates ever mentioned it...it was up to me to discover that.

1) You impregnate a woman.
2) She has your baby.
3) You raise the baby to adulthood.
4) The adult/former baby gets pregnant; or, if male, impregnates someone else
5) This next baby is born.
6) Boom!  You're grandfathered!

I note it on my website and when replying to emails from returning clients. I also do the same when I am no longer offering grandfathering. I always make sure to clarify with my very first reply, especially if NOT grandfathering -- I know higher rates can be a limiting factor, and I don't want to be like "Um... surprise!!!" at the last minute. ;)

For me being familiar has it's benefits so if my rates go up then they're safe. Mine are more repeats also and for grandfathering if I so happened to raise my rates again they have a 3 month grace period if you will from when they've last see me to not be "charged" the new rate. That seems fair enough to me.
