Furthermore, most ladies have priced themselves out of the 20-something guy market. If they seriously had problems with seeing the guys they are seeing, they would set a MAXIMUM age at 30 instead of a minimum age at 40; and they would keep lowering their price until their target demographic was tempted.

I agree.  Some of you guys have real self-esteem problems.  For me seeing providers helped to fix that, but I guess it hasn't helped for some of you.

One provider I met once put it best.  I asked her if she sometimes thought, "thank god I get paid for this".  She replied, "yeah but sometimes I think....wow I got paid for this?".  I just assume that I am in the second group myself, and for the best providers, most guys are.

In the end, its no different than most any other job even yours.  Some parts of it you like, and some parts you don't.  If you loathe every minute of it, you probably won't be very good at it and you won't be doing it for long.

Though there are exceptions, I truly and honestly believe that most good providers are enjoying themselves during most of their encounters.

Wear and tear would probably be my biggest concern if i imagined myself to be a provider.

I swear, between the videos and all the "hobbyists suck so badly" posts it makes me feel like I am doing ladies a FAVOR by NOT seeing them! It almost makes the 2nd wave feminist mantra that all sex with sex workers is by definition rape seem credible. (And don't laugh because that is the turn the legal theories are taking -- treating sex workers as victims and not charging them when caught, but charging the hobbyists with felony sexual assault.)

I see so many negative comments about hobbyists and providers too for that matter.  It is human nature to complain about negative experiences.  ie: if we go out to eat and the food is fantastic we don't always say so.  But!  If we go out to eat and the food is horrible we will complain and repeat our complaint many times over.  The hobby is no different.  I have had many positive experiences.  I have met some really nice guys.  I have had some HOT sessions!  On the flip side, I have had some unpleasant experiences too.  Thankfully, these negative experiences have been far and few between.  Otherwise, I would not be a provider.  I love my job and look forward to each new day.
