This article is interesting to me, as I am somewhat colorblind, so I feel like it doesn't affect me.  But in your experience, ladies, do you find that it gets you more looks?

Guys, are your favorite dresses red?

Paris, you could hear anything & you'd still stop traffic! Thank you for taking such good care of yourself.

I agree with the little black dress, always a hit, yet a nice tight pair of jeans and a well fitting tshirt even in flip flops, and heads do tend to turn.  Guys are basically visual creatures and they are always looking its just the way it is. In line at the store, at a traffic light, at the gas station, they are always undressing woman. Not all guys I do believe most of the general population, and they are thinking..."I'd fuck her".  If you only knew from a womans point of view, we get checked out all the time, all day long. All woman do. Its tiring being undressed constantly.  lol

I am sorry to hear that it is so tiring be desired.  It must be doubly hard to feel that way given your involvement with this business.  Perhaps it is a sign that you need a break from it.

On the flip side of what you say, I have known quite a few women in my life who always wanted to be as widely desired as you imply, but who weren't, either for physical reasons or for personality reasons.

I suppose if we knew what everyone we meet or interact with really thought of us, we probably wouldn't like most of society, as it is the nature of our society to be competitive, selfish, and insecure.  I guess it is up to us to make peace with, as you put it, "the way it is".

And here I thought I asked an innocuous question...

From my experience guys undress me usually when i'm wearing a nice blouse, some buttons opened.A hip hugging skirt to show some curves and a pair of stockings...last but not least the right pair of pumps.I don't think it's about the color,I think it's more about the attitude.

the lady, her coloring, her aura.  Red is wonderful on the right person, but think of a beautiful dark skinned black lady wearing a simple white summer shift, a pale skinned red head wearing the same shift in black.  Of course a touch of red, a scarf for example, always catches the eye.

I just get looks period, no matter what i wear!
I don't think it's the color so much as the attitude!  If you command the room when you walk into it, it doesn't matter what color you have on, heads will turn!  But thats just my experience.

No, I don't.  Women wearing a top that reveals a hint of her cleavage does though.

no matter what she's wearing, or what color it is. Different women will look better in different colors and styles of clothing, or in no clothing at all. Other things will get a look from me, like eyes. I'm an eye guy, and sometimes I'll find myself staring at a woman with beatiful eyes. Unfortunately, sometimes they find me staring also, but that's okay. At least I get to enjoy the stare. I think most women know what to wear to accent their eyse, or whatever they feel their most attractive features are.

Hi Hungry -

I do like to look at pretty ladies. And I don't mind at all when they notice my appreciative or speculative gaze. If we make eye contact, I smile and nod, or sometimes wink, or raise an eyebrown and nod, depending on how the lady strikes me. I rarely get an annoyed or dismissive gesture in return. Usually a smile, sometimes a wink. Sometimes a blush and a turning of the head. But the ladies do not seem to mind being noticed as long as they are not being leered at and as long as one "breaks contact" at the right moment...

I like to be noticed. However, where I live, I get cattle calls all the time from the guys who stand in front of Home Depot and make crude gestures as I drive by them. It's not just the words but the gestures and the disrespect behind them. I don't take it literally, but it is disgusting at times. I think it's different when you're really young or perhaps you do not get any attention at all. Then, you definitely crave it. On the other hand, someone with some maturity, and who also does this for a living, doesn't need the excessive cattle calling. Sometimes it's so much that you just say to yourself, "Yea, yea buddy. Whatever!" It does make me laugh, though, so I guess that's good.

Now, on the other hand, if a gentleman walks up to me and says, "My! You're a beautiful woman," then that's different. Or, maybe some construction workers that say, "Hi, pretty lady. You've made my day," then that's pretty interesting and thoughtful. There's a big difference in telling a lady she's pretty versus overhearing loud conversations between guys who are talking about fucking her. That is NOT a compliment. That is disrespectful. We may be "whores" in the bedroom but want to be respected in public. I think what sweetnicole meant was that she doesn't always like being gaulked at in public places. If I'm wrong, nicole, please tell me. Sometimes I even want some peace and quiet when I'm grocery shopping.

Now, back to your original question (which I thought was a good one): I love black, but I have to admit I really get noticed when I wear red. I think it's the blonde hair against the bright red that does it. Plus, red screams "I'm sexy and confident."  :)

Hugs & smooches, baby!
Ciara

I used to wear a lot of black until I realised it was affecting my mood.

Red makes me feel sexy, confident and ready for anything. I am not sure about more looks but I am certain it has done a lot for my well being.

That's why so many people paint their dining rooms red. It brings on a healthy appetite and makes for some fun conversations. I learned this in one of my design classes. Makes sense.

and the younger women you see tend to wear slightly tight short skirts (a good bit above the knee but not streetwalker short) and clingy white blouses tucked in, with high heels, and their hair in an updo. Sometimes a stylish short jacket. Somehow that look really does it for me - but you see NO red there - they don't recall the Soviets very fondly.....

Its very exhausting feeling as if even in line at the gas station you are being undressed by some really creepy guy behind you who can't seem to sutly look.  There is a difference....and no matter who she is most woman get undressed in public. That has nothing to do with this job, or life style choices, doesnot suggest anyone needs a break from this career choice, just a break from the rude asshole who can't seem to be suttle in looking at a woman.  The clerk at the gas station who when talking to me, looks at my boobs and never my face. No matter what a woman does for a living, we want respect in the basic sense.  It can be overwhelming.  Look around you sometime at who and what the men in line at the store are looking at and how. You may be surprized. You don't see it maybe because you yourself do not behave this way.

I was not turning it into a gripe just stating a fact that virtually all woman deal with on a daily basis.  Appreciation of a beautiful woman is very different from what I was talking about.

All have a great day....
Nicole

But how you wear it.
Red may catch the eye at first glance, yet the way the lady carries herself is what will turn you from looking at the color and noticing the lady.  Some woman can be found attractive in any color, even in a pair of baggy sweats and tshrirt.
I tend to wear a great deal of green and peachy tones.
