Has been a while since I logged in.  Received a message this morning inviting me back.  This site quickly went from my favorite to just an after thought.

Heard all he legal issues and how careful they are.  Seems other sites are not deterred in the least.

Anybody have the gouge on TER's status and if they ever plan on resuming the posture they had when TER was my favorite site?

Just got an Email from TER reminding me my VIP expires in 9 days.

I had et my vip membership lapse, but thinking of my decades of enjoyment, I decide to renew at least for a quarter.  
I have talked to lawyer friends and they are mystified but the fear that has led TER to leave America.  
I am not sure if they have just given up on Usa forever.

Your lawyer friends might be mystified, as they opine from the sidelines. But, if TER was their client, or if their personal livelihood/freedom could be at risk, it's a pretty sure bet they'd be singing a different tune. FOSTA-SESTA, unless there's a case out there I've missed, hasn't been used yet in a criminal prosecution and no one wants to be the pioneer who ends up taking the arrows. Redbook and Backpage, even though they were taken down under other statutes, are stark examples of what can happen if/when Big Brother Government gets you in the crosshairs. Especially when the laws being used are filled with vagueness and ambiguities that have yet to be defined or interpreted.

Until there is a test case that winds its way through the court system, no lawyer can counsel a client on how to minimize their potential exposure under FOSTA/SESTA.  Once a case goes up to the higher courts, the ambiguities will be addressed and how the courts rule on the issues will signal the attorneys who are advising TER and other  site-holders how to best avoid prosecution.  

 
It very well may be that no prosecutor will ever bring charges under these laws because of the risk of having the laws neutralized in court rulings.  The fear of the unknown consequences is what is keeping sites like TER at bay right now.

It's easy to criticize these "cowardly" mice like TER and P411, but how many of us would be willing to risk decades in prison to test this law?

 
The good news is, someday, someone is either going to test this law, or unwillingly be prosecuted under it, and that is when we find out if the courts are going to support it, or hopefully declare it unconstitutional either in it's entirety or in part. My bet is at the very least the part that creates an "ex post facto" law can't possibly be constitutional, but just like the rest of the cowardly mice I am not willing to bet my life on it. I'd put up a few hundred bucks though if anyone wants to make a friendly wager. lol

Remaining within current TER guidelines and producing inviting entertainment, especially for a US entertainer such as myself, is definitely a feat, yes.  

On the other hand, everything is what we make it, at least in attitude, and my attitude is to prevail, positively (and you've no idea how difficult that is for a realist, by nature!).  Screw FOSTA/SESTA (there's that pessimism, lol!)!  I'm not saying, "buck the system"... that would be stupid.  But I am saying, "push it to the limit"...  

Why?  For one, my profession has been around for thousands of years.  It's NOT going to go away.  It has been challenged a million times and always finds ways to endure and evolve.  

2.  I can't stomach or condone hypocrisy.  And hypocrites run rampant within this community... LE and politicians either ordering up call girls or guilty of exchanging sex for favors, favoritism, or personal gain for campaigns, etc.

3.  See # 2... while everything involves money, favors, or barter for sex.  Single, married, or otherwise.

4.  Screw their "human trafficking" propaganda!  We all know that's just a front to get more money to spend on prosecution for consensual intimacy, and to get more votes for putting laws such as these into place (though I wonder if our votes ever really count, so that could be contradictory...idk).

5.  CONSENSUAL INTIMACY IS OUR PERSONAL HUMAN RIGHT, ALONG WITH OUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY.  And it makes me sick they're playing the "HT" card because there's nowhere else for them to turn regarding the continuity of criminalizing this industry.  The bastards, lol.

...IMO, everyone could be involved with making TER more exciting/diverse, and at least go check out our daily pic posts (vote/like them), since this is the only form of adv the US ladies can provide here... just a suggestion.

Totally agree with  Fridays'  spin and won`t renew either. Since they went on ice I try to get over here once or twice a month hoping to hear some good news but it`s always the same story. Sucks cause TER pre 4/2018 was thee best. Thank God p-411 is alive and I just got a message from them to say that they`re relaxing some of their restrictions.
There are a couple of websites still going strong where I can read and post reviews  and blog my .02, I won`t name them here but you know the ones I mean, better than nothing. I`m anxious to see how the Robert K bust plays out. Praying that he doesn`t acquiesce and  pushes back.  

And he certainly has the resources to make this a costly fight for the state of Florida.

That's my brother! Let him slide." or "Yikes! That's my brother-in-law! Nail him!"), and so on.

I repeat myself, but I hope that Kraft fights this on more than just technicalities and can help to expose and overthrow a lot of puritanical laws attempting to control the normal behavior of consenting adults.

They're making three main arguments (see article). If they're successful, then the video evidence won't be admissible. In fact, everything LE got as a result of the warrant will be excluded unless they can show they also got it from a non-warrant source. If they're not, then I'm sure they'll look at the videos for anything they can use, such as bias, to help them win the case or get the charges dropped.

I have much more input and effective info from a local board that gives me some reason to keep on playing.  

If TER wants my membership money, something more will needed to be added to return some value for my investment.

I agree its a diminishing return for many.  I'm still active trading local provider info by PM with my hobby network bro's.  I love writing reviews, and still see a number of ladies internationally on my business travels, but the mods  won't let me on the RO board for a wholly "Trumped" up reason (no pun intended), so what is the sense in my making further contributions to their cause?

So Sad! Nothing New! Can't see my 90+ Reviews! Can't see Whitelists! I checkin like every few months now, and the same old blogs are up! I Miss the old TER! Is TER really going to last without the USA?

Reviewers still have access to their own reviews, so it you know who they are, you can ask them to copy and paste them for you in a PM . . . . IF you BOTH still have PM though a VIP membership.  I did this for a few indie ladies I had previously seen and reviewed when TER first went dark in the US last year.  It might fill the information gap a little for you until such time as you can access US reviews again.  I think the reviewer will still have to have VIP as well so that a prospective customer can PM to verify that he did, indeed, author the review.
