Just got a message from a provider who looks interesting and she will only agree to see me if I provide a FevKey ID (Free E-Verification Key) but this looks like a scam.

Anybody have any history with this.

The provider looks way too good looking for it not to be a scam.

Sounds like a variation on the "sex key" theme, which is known to be a scam. I would stay far away if I were you.

Any time any provider requires you to join a site or pay some fee just to verify you then it is a scam. Totally and 100% scam, no question about it.

The only fee you pay with a provider is the donation for their time at the time of the appointment.

if you got a peak of the chick from craigslist LA> 50's pinup doll. blah blah. just to test it out. went ot store and bought 50.00 cash credit card. you know one those visa gift cards. I was reall yleery about using my own credit card for a reason. so I go to the website she sent, and the link for FEVKEY( free)go thru it 3  times. ther is one box not to check for membership to  a adult website. free 3 day trail the nit rebills at 39.95. so I go thru click submit, it gives a link to adult web site. not FEVKEY. get  a email a few minutes later, with username password cutsomer number to the same adult website. still no FEVKEY info. so I click on the open window for my registered visa gift card. check the balance, $5.00 pending transaction. no big deal right? still no FEVKEY access or username or info. afterbout 20 min I check the visa gift cardbalance, wooowa. 39.99 for the adult website is being charged even though I made sure not to check the box saying yes sign me up for the trial subscription. so I called the number on the charge and explained my situation. didnt order it, never went there! they said they would credit my card back 39.99 and that the 5.00 was only a authirzation hold and would fall in 3 days. granted that did happen. the credit and the release of the auth. charge. finally 3 days later I get a email with my FEVKEY info, except it wont open a dam thing. I cut and paste it right form the email, and nothing. so I send a email to this provider( oh get this, she says its for her protection, that she doestn she anybody without a FEVKEY id. I can dig the safety issue. there are some crazy peopleso I opted to do it just for that reason) which turns out to be PURE BULLSHIT! so I sent her a copy of all the emails I've got, I dont care all she's gonna get is 50 on a visa gift card. I've still yet to hear back from the provider. and oh there is no customer service ofr FEVKEY. so if it sounds like a scam, and looks like a scam. it probably is a scam. hit me up with a email and if you dont believe me I'll send you all my emails. just keepin it real

Its interesting some of the things you state in your claim that Fevkey is some type of scam.

You are the ONLY person to say this, all the other posts are speculation, and admit to being so.

Now lets address some of your points:

Gift card/Cash Credit Card - FevKey doesn't accept these as they REQUIRE a zip code and name match to the card.  There is no zip code set on those gift cards, so a zip code match will never work.

I also did some research, and I happen to know the girl you were talking too (I also use FevKey for verifications).  You gave her a STOLEN ID.  Your pissed because after you were caught with your hand in the cookie jar, that ID was canceled out of the system.

YES A SCAM!!!  Found the same girls picture on 2 different states craigslists (Michigan and South Carolina)!!!  Don't think the same girl works both states!!!

How do you know what provider he is talking about? That seems a little fishy.

SCAM: Stay away from FevKey.  I signed up for the "free" service which provided a "free" three day membership to a pay site.  I immediately canceled the pay membership but two charges hit my credit card immediately: one for $36.57 and one for 37.19.  Pretty steep from a "free" validation.  SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.

FEVKey seems to be a scam.  I signed up for it using a real credit card and then I cancelled the charges.  There are times I can access a woman's reservation page, and there are other times it seems to log me in but I keep going into a continuous loop on the site and can never access the reservation pages.  The ads sound a little too good to be true in my opinion as well.

No, this person is NOT "the ONLY person" to say that FEVkey is a scam.  It is all over the internet as a scam.  I also have personal experience with it, and it's a scam.

Why?

1) The "models"--this is actually just content stolen or bought by the company which runs FEVkey--send replies to non-specific posts which claim all sorts of things, including (in reply to my inquiry re:  a CL post at http://detroit.craigslist.org/ers/734153463.html) that the service checks the criminal record of people.  The ONLY "check" is a valid credit card.

2) The credit card is ALSO charged for a membership to the "Mega Porno Pass".  Both FEVKey and this pass are run by the same people, out of FL (do a WHOIS on it).  This happens in spite of UNchecking a box! lol

3) When you DO get your ID, there is an infinite loop like this:

you go to a model's page, it asks you to login;
you go to the login page and do it (you can tell that this works, because now the state of the last line says that you can "log out");
you are thrown to the listing of gals (which didn't include the above gal, from "San Diego");
you select the gal, and are AGAIN asked to log in...even though you already ARE!

4) Any legit SP would know that their contact rates have dramatically shrunk and would either use some other verification service or would complain bitterly to get this fixed.

Any post defending this fraudulent site is a sham, FEVkey is a scam.  I was taken in by this Vanessa D,  Thankfully they didn't get my money.  Whatever she is, she is first and foremost a liar.

I wasn't sure about FEV key and I searched TER to see if anyone had any posts.  And to my surprise many of the members here report it as a scam.  Thanks to the posts, I didn't go through with the FEV scam.

Yeah, I almost fell for it myself. Almost hit the enter button after I entered my credit card number, then said to myself "Is this really the smart thing to do?" So I found this discussion, and I'm glad I didn't go thru with it!

Freakin joke, a scam, and a waste of time.

I wish I'd read here before I fell for it. I canceled within about 3 hours of joining -- now am waiting for the fallout from the credit card company. When I pasted in my username and password and clicked on the provider I wanted to see, I actually did get a booking page. But I'm guessing after I fill it out, I'll get no response. Because I went back to the page listing all the girls and clicked on each one, and for every one, it said the girl was now in my town. Coincidence? I think not. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ... it's a scam!

I came across a pretty hot looking provider on CL, so I checked it out.  She sent me to FEVKey for her safety.  Of course, everything started sounding fishy already, so I decided to do some research first and found this thread.

I'm sorry to hear that some of you guys fell for this.  But I thank you all as well for putting this information up for the rest of us.

I have some advice for you guys next time you come across something like this:
If you come across something that looks or smells fishy, but it looks good anyway (I gotta admit, the pics of the models were hot, which is why we got fooled in the first place), go ahead and rub one off.  Yeah, just beat the meat.  After you're done, if you still want to do it, then go for it.  But chances are, you'll be thinking more clearly and stay away.

Yeah Fevkey is a scam. Beware of posters who claim otherwise. The people who try to get you to buy the Fevkey are affiliates of the website profiting from the scam. Places like www.legalescortscash.com pay affiliates to basically pose as a hot girl and get fevkey sigh ups. Also, in a lot of the forums to these sites some people are talking about putting up fake posts on other online forums in support of the fevkey, i.e. pretending its legit and telling people that it worked for them, and how they were able to meet the girl, etc.
