Dear Invariance:
Just remember what you learned in Junior High School. Remember to store your prophylactics in a cool place. That speaks to the pliability and flexibility of the condom itself. When you store them in a warmer place then they become brittle and then they break.  Another rule of thumb when you want to get some.

I have several times had condoms break during use.  Once broke two in the same session.  I'm not happy when this happens, and neither is the provider, though they have been polite.  Any suggestions?  Are some providers using overly thin condoms? Does this happen regularly to others?

use extra lube, the latex could be irritating her and causing her to dry and rub on it, your going to hard, or the condoms are old, or perhaps its a trojan. i never have issues with durex or kimonos . also LOTS of lube

Lube! Make sure it's water based. That will prevent condom breakage.  Latex can be irritating, and cause dryness.  It's the friction that will cause the latex to rupture.

Using lube will keep the condom from breaking and encourage her own natural lubrication to kick in.

Aside from expiry date, don't store them in extreme temperatures. Leaving them in the car's glove compartment is a bad idea.

I can't stand Trojans, and like CourtesanM, prefer Kimonos.

Dear CourtesanM
I was just wondering how much of breaking could be attributed to one's endowment? Please respond at your earliest convenience.

latex condoms wear out if exposed to heat (in a truck going to walmart or in a girl's trunk while she is at the gym)

plus you can use baby oil or vasoline in anal if you use these.

According to various sources, polyurethane is more likely to break than latex. However, just to clarify for those who don't know the difference, polyurethane is NOT standard latex.

NEVER USE MINERAL OIL OR VASELINE WITH LATEX.

You can use either water-based or oil-based lube with polyurethane.  To be safe, I'd suggest using KY or other non-petroleum based lube for everything and keep the oily stuff out of the boudoir altogether.

I've used lots of thin condoms...  I like the feel...  but they must fit properly & as others have mentioned, use water based lube,

then it is possible you are putting the condom on wrong.

Your post indicates it has happened with different ladies, and I assume they use different brands of condoms, and yet it keeps happening...so shouldn't be a brand thing.
That they are all different ladies it probably isn't an issue of them all having an issue with drying out from the latex just with you...so probably not a latex issue.

The common denominator is you.
Either you have a "sharp dick" as Mr Wormwood suggested, you are particularly large (though I think you might have mentioned if that was the case and just asked about larger sized condoms), or you are putting them on incorrectly or doing something with them that is causing them to break.

This has never happened to me. Maybe I'm not big enough. LOL

I used to have the breaking connie problem with non providers, then I switched to trojan magnums and have never had a problem since. Maybe some guys don't realize that they may be slightly larger than the average dude and need a larger connie.

If porn dudes are the barometer, you are never going to be able admit your bigger than the average bloke. :-)

Lube + properly stored condoms and condom sizes are imperative for an enjoyable and safe experience.  Fortunately it did not take me long to realize regular condoms are way too tight.

Hmmm.  Good thoughtful replies.  FYI, the lady always supplies the cover and she puts it on -- I assume that she is more experienced than I and knows what she likes.  Quite a few ladies have noted that I'm "well endowed" -- surprising to me, but as one blunt provider said, "Honey, I see 'em all day long." So maybe I should bring magnums or just suggest lube.

I never played in a band without my own guitar and I would never hunch on a honey without my own connie.

Bad angles and everything, my brand stays on and don't break. There is a solution. Have fun finding it!
