If it says click to enlarge, it should enlarge.  Small pictures are a pain in the ass anyway.  I really don't mind the template websites.  The pic enlarging is not just there, it happens on custom websites too.

is it just me or do the rest of you dislike the template web sites where the expanded images in the portofolio are either not any bigger or just barely bigger than the thumbnail you just clicked on.

i am not going to make a decision strictly on pictures, but it is a big part of the decision making process.

beside, being the voyeur that i am, i enjoy looking at well done portfolios

Ladies, if you're going to the time, effort, and money of putting together a good set of images, please take the time and effort to showcase them properly.

Many of those sites offer free web hosting and free templates. In return you get limited functionality. The web hosting company bases the fee of hosting on the websites bandwidth usage. Free hosting is possible with minimal traffic and as long as they can post ad banners. However the larger the photos the more bandwidth it uses.

The companions can easily make a change to allow for much larger photos to come up, however that will require they pay more or even pay at all for their site.

So essentially the size of the photo that comes up is only limited by the companions hosting selections. I found it easier to build my own site and have it hosted at a national hosting service. Its not got all those little fancy bells and features, but it seems to work ok for me.

There are pics of a REALLY HOT woman on it, too.

......that I keep the same photos on my website.  Most gentlemen, like yourself, are voyeurs (your words).  My new photos go up with my ads; not my website.  Like you said, you enjoy looking, but that does that equate to you reserving time with a lady.

even more so than seeing not so large-enlarged pictures is music on websites; and can be a privacy issue. I am glad that most provider sites don't have it but every so often you come across one that makes you skip a heartbeat if you are not alone in a house; my suggestion to the ladies, don't spend a cent investing in that feature

I do enjoy looking... admittedly a voyeur (my word).. and no, it does not equate to me reserving time with every lady that i ogle, but the ladies i do reserve time with come from the sample population that i ogle... as i said in my op, it's not the only criteria in my decision making process, but it is an important one to me.. I rarely stop at the images and rates, but rather often go on to read blogs, about me's and all the other tabs on a website..

as an aside, i've never reserved time with a lady based on an ad. In most cases, it would be a post here that would lead me to the website... sometimes an ad will lead me to the website, but it will be the information in the website and subsequent perusal of reviews that will lead to an appointment.. Just my .04 *wink* now i'm off to look for your ads *evil grin*

Remember that not everything is using the latest computers, processors, operating systems, ... technology. Not everyone has pre-ordered an iPhone 5 or plans to upgrade ASAP. Many of us have to use filters, proxies, etc., to surf safely and anonymously.  Please: NO FLASH, NO fancy scripts, ...

Don't beta-test your web site on the just released, fastest most powerful machine. Test it on a 2 or 3 year old clunker.  

From a safety / anonymity POV, surfing TER and related sites is NOT the same as surfing yahoo or Disney.

(I am VERY hi-tech for non-hobby stuff but I can't compromise my hi-tech stuff. I have to use older hardware and software for hobbying.)

Another thing that pizzes me off is password protected photos. I am not paying to see your godamn pictures.
