This is probably the wrong forum to ask but I really would like to know proper ettiquete when having a theraputic massage at for example a fitness center.  My question is when you disrobe do you take everything off or leave on your underpants.  It seems more natural to take everything off but I never have been sure if it is expected and acceptable.

therapist..will always prompt.."disrobe to your comfort level" and is heavily trained in ethics and keeping within the bounderies set within the underwear line if the client chooses... ie: compression work done on the gluteal region vs effleurages if there is underwear in the way. It is 99% expected the client will disrobe completely under the draping however..and the drapings will always cover genitals and when lying prone..the butt crack. (for lack of a better term)

What to do if you get an erection during the massage?

I love theraputic massage and get them frequently.  It's not a problem now, but when I was younger, I would always get aroused when they would work on the inner thighs.

Talk about ignoring the elephant in the room.

Fortunately I know a good FBSM place where the therapist/providers give really good theraputic massage along with the happy ending.

My question is, would it be considered inappropriate to ask the therapist to massage my ass. I get massages occasionally as stress relief and feel like there's some stress build up there. I never want to ask because I don't want it to be taken the wrong way. Anyone have any insight?

That would be the natal cleft. The butt crack that is.

That little fold that separates where the thigh ends and the butt begins is called the gluteal cleft : o)

Yes, I'm a dork. I freely admit it.

If (s)he's uncomfortable with that, (s)he'll say so. Butt's get really stressed and unless you come across as really creepy, there shouldn't be a problem.

simply the cleft below the PSIS is covered..but we DO expose the gluteus maximus....lol

But in PT school..we still call it a butt crack! lmao
