I think you're over-reacting and mis-characterizing TER.  In fact, your rant at the end of your post is about as nasty as anything I've read from the people you call "HATERS."  It's too bad when you descend to their level, but I'm afraid you did.
I also think you're wrong about TER, in that you make it sound as if the boards are dominated by so-called haters.  Yes, there certain are a bunch of them.  But there are also a very large number of decent guys who have their heads screwed on right.  It would be nice if you were able to recognize that instead of lumping us all into the same boat.  Perhaps it's just that the past week has been an unusually weird time on the board.
So I hope, Frenchie, you'll take a deep breath and relax.  Have an espresso and a croissant and smile.  Then have sex with a nice guy.  A few orgasms should put you in a better frame of mind.

I too have enjoyed your previous posts. You are correct that there are those on here that are haters.
But to characterize everyone here that way is as wrong as saying all people from France are just alike. It is incorrect and you end up slamming people that don't deserve it and that could be of service to you. That is never a good thing. I hope whatever you read here or whatever happened to you that has made you lash out like this soon becomes a distant bump in the road.  

Maybe it would be useful to talk about the specific event that caused you to be this upset. Just a thought.

The rant was a bit vehement... ok a lot vehement... but look at the replies more than half are direct attacks on either nationality or profession.. very few with thought behind them..

I pretty much quietly read the posts here as I'm sure a lot do and I'm pretty much disgusted with the tenor lately..

there's a minority group of whore hating mysoginists that have to attack repeatedly with baseless and thoughtless nastiness.. I guess it makes them feel like big boys or something.. basically just school yard bullies all grown up and continuing their behavior on a message board..

then there is the "in group" with their pithy comments back and forth.. sometimes amusing sometimes just juvenile, rarely informative.. the same ones that are quick to put down a newbie's question because they've been here so long that all the subjects are redundant to them..

Once in a while there a thread it full of well thought out arguments and/or positions and actually has some informative value that will benefit other members of the community.. Once in while there is a thread humorous enough to provide comic relief that I can get a giggle out of.. and the number of posters that miss the humour and take these threads serious is probably the most humorous element to them

Over all the board is like placer mining for gold... you have to move several tons of waste to find the one ounce nugget...

As for the general attitude, if you must find blame, then blame it on stereotypes: the Hollywood version of the escort is young, dumb and skinny OR a drugged-out, worn-out, desperately-in-need-of-a-white-knight streetwalker. Or, in rare cases, an older woman (around 45 or so) madam who started on the streets, then made "good" by opening her own place. In Hollywood's version (and the one most internalized by many, many men, not just those speaking here), there is no room for real-looking women and real working women. Even the recent spate of "real women" in certain commercials are glamorized (a plus-sized woman is a size 12? C'mon!)

Historically, escorts in America have been worshiped or banned, tolerated or harangued; they've been welcomed to boom towns and then run out on a rail when said town gained respectability. They've built cities and then left when the city turned on them and shut them down. It depends a lot on the current, local political culture. Right now, the (so-called Christian) religious aspect is stronger in this country than it was even 20 years ago.

So, don't let this American board of the escorting world color your whole forum experience. While TER isn't the be-all to end-all of review forums, it does have decent hobbyists and providers on here. Take the words of those you like, discuss what you want to, and ignore the rest (yes, I know; easier said than done. LOL).

i find that you get what you ask of the world.  knock on wood, but my luck within this industry has been absolutely stellar, and i've discovered that the best way to be both successful AND happy is to just be yourself.  seriously.  it has yet to fail me.  (knock on wood, of course!)

the negative-nancy posters on this board do NOT provide a solid representative sample of hobbyists in general.  there are a lot of good guys who are regular posters here, and i don't want those guys to take this the wrong way, the good guys know who they are and know that i appreciate them -- but IMO, *most* of the best guys aren't active on message boards.  they are more interested in interacting on a human level.

at any rate, coming in here and insulting everyone on the board is not exactly going to be an effective strategy in your campaign to humanize & inspire compassion for sex workers.  the best way to do that is to treat those who deserve it with kindness, and ignore the hateful posters.  "board bravado" is a powerful phenomenon, IMO the result of meatspace insecurities which make internet anonymity an ideal outlet for pent-up rage, and you only feed it with hateful language.

if you want to inspire love and respect, then BE love & respect.  it really is that easy.
