Not meant to be a rant:   I just wish visiting providers would post their dates in my town a little earlier.  A lovely southern belle is visiting my city today and tomorrow.  The ad went up today.   Gonna miss her because I scheduled things at work.

that I'm interested in meeting her, but I can't do it on her this go-around. I ask if she'll consider emailing me the next time that she will be in town, and if she can give me at least a few days notice. So far this has worked out very well.

Mailing Lists are a pretty new thing for my business model. Its built right into my website feature and it has proven to be very useful. I have broken down my mailing list by major cities of the USA as well as a general list. This is a great feature for me to keep clients and potential clients aware of when I travel, when I get new photos taken as well as other juicy happenings that I am involved in. Perhaps suggest to your lady that a mailing list would help her and that you would gladly subscribe to it so that she could tell you when she was going to be in your city ahead of time to avoid the frustration of last minute ad placement.

Same here. Advance notice and scheduling is appreciated both ways. It is basic consideration and goes a long way in my experience.
