what would impress you the most. Someone who bought you a $1000 necklace or someone who would go out of their way to bring you you your favorite breakfast that cost $4.00.

Having recently received an expensive necklace that I specifically told the gifter I really didn't want - I would MUCH rather receive a thoughtful inexpensive gift than a bit of bling I'm never going to wear.

Now if the choice was just 1000$ or 4$, duh... that's a no brainer, the issue is in the thoughtfulness of the gift. I don't like jewelry! Lots of other women really DO like jewelry.

I had one date where someone brought me a soy-candle that he had spent an hour selecting prior to his arrival. He didn't know that I love candles, which I absolutely do, but he had spent a whole hour of his time to make a selection to make me happy. THAT impressed me. Gift of self.

This question is just like the question of do ladies prefer dickhead/asshole type guys or "nice guys". Most ladies will say they will take a nice guy that treats them well over a jerk that treats them like crap. But when push comes to shove the nice guy goes home with his dick in his hand while the asshole is getting a BJ in the car!

I'd expect most ladies to answer your question as it's the thought that counts and material stuff doesn't hold a candle to the sweet romantic stuff, etc..  But when push comes to shove we'll see how excited she gets when you show up with an omellete vs. a diamond necklace!

We like the diamond necklace because, unlike the omlette, it's a lasting momento of the beautiful times we had together.

Yeah right .............

Hellllllooooooo All!

Wow, some of the posts are so crazy and outrageous these days. I really need to get on here more often. So, the matter at hand....
This is my out take on the ol' "good guy vs. bad guy" scenario:

Its been my experience that us women (usually ones that come from dysfunctional families) often decide that the good, predictable and nice guys are boring us to tears. They are usually stable, considerate, predictable and responsible. This is too much harmony for the fast, modern, adrenaline-rush oriented woman of the millenium. There is not enough chaos in something so serene and safe.
Lets admit it ladies...I'll be the first to raise my hand! Nice guys usually finish last because they are too safe and predictable.
If your foundation was built with instability and chaos then you wouldn't be comfortable with "normal" and healthy guys.
I'm not saying this is always the case but, its usually the case. So, thats just throwing down the truth as I see it....
I believe in most cases if the women who were brought up in stable, safe, and functional families found a nice guy that brought her Mackie D's for breakfast instead of her fav trinket, she'd hold on to him hard and fast....cause she'd end up getting that trinket eventually anyways.

Lets make it a great day!
