i'm curious what the average length of time a provider is in business.  i look at it that there are two types of providers.  ones that escort for the sake that they need some extra cash to pay for college or payoff a debt...so they are short-termer w/ an eventual "real" career.

and others that are a provider since that is their full time job and they provide to support themselves.  what is the typical length of time in the business for a provider in this category?  just like porn stars have an avg. length of time of less than a year and for the superstars...less than 3 yrs what is it for a provider?  and what is the reason providers eventually leave the biz.  i can think of them eventually getting married to a client or there is psychological damage to just get out.

does not apply to me, or for many of us, then that's what I suspect their answers to be as well. It's sheer pleasure, joy, closeness and friendship..so why would it need to end?

But, alas, that's my answer, and not the answer you were looking for.
I'd say the average 'career', based on what I've seen is about three years.

This is an interesting question. I am not sure what the average time in this biz is, however when I got in it 2 years ago I never really thought how long do I plan on doing this. It has been a great fantasy for me and until the fantasy last I guess is when I will retire.

a case in point. recently, i ran into lady sylvia--formerly of so. cal. and tucson arizonia--at a southern cal, university, which she attends part-time. she is 30 yrs. old.,lives in a average, sparsly furnished apartment which is in walking distance of the campus. she is majoring in linguistics. she has an incredibly weaththy married, moselm, boy friend who is a citizen and resident of the united arab emirates and who pays her rent, tuition, bought her a car, etc., and who has close ties with the male arab students and other arab males in the community. she frequently travels with and is visited by her arab boy friend, who TOTALLY controls her as-to a lesser degree-do the other arabs around the campus. she is miserable, afraid, under physical and mental duress, wants to quit but can't. she wants to escape. the guy hacked her computer, she thinks her phone is taped, she complained about being pursuaded to date, against her will, etc. she complained about being made to stay awake for days and write papers and do the homework of arab students or get cut off, etc. This is a bad situation. she feels she has no futrue. she sees no way out and wants it all to end. she has threatened to commit suicide in abu dhabi and so. cal.... I'm sure you know the drill.

I don't personally know of any. I know OF one who recently retired as she's getting married; and one who retired because she moved - back to her small home town in another state, where her family and husband's family live - so it would be hard to date there.
I can't think of any reason why I would tho..

I'm sure the duration and type of escorting careers women have are as many and varied as the women involved in the business.  I 'd liketo get myself  long term financial security then I'll stop and go back to doing my other job full time instead of freelance as I do now.  If I stop enjoying the escorting before I get where I'd like to be financially then I will stop immediately.  My emotional and physical wellbeing is much more important to me than any financial consideration.

another reason here and that is the lifestyle that is hard to give up for an escort.  if your'e making 100k in the escort biz and that is tax-free...which is about a 200k salary...you'd be livin large...but if you do it for 3 years...its hard to maintain the lifestyle you have during those 3 yrs.  its like a 200k executive getting demoted to a 35k/yr job.

i've seen some high priced escort and sometime i look at the car they drive and i wonder...and its a piece of crap car and they charge $$$$ for an appt.  what's going on here?  do you ladies have high maintenance lifestyles?

My friend and business partner (who knows my Sedona life) and I discuss this alot.
I've said this a million times. One may make money, but that doesn't mean they know how to manage money, and that is true for all vocations. (I think the odds of lottery winners going bankrupt a year from their winnings, is about 90%.)
It's all about the management of it..

I don't work enough to make a million bucks!  lol  When I've bought a house in Spain and have some good investments then I'll be pretty content with my financial security.

Even though this is a short-term gig for me, I love it.
I started escorting just as a dare, just as a "let me see if I can do it". Well, I did. I am a very sexual person so this just came easy to me.

As I stated before, I work full time as an accountant and this extra cash is my play money/extra retirement!!

I am coming up shortly to my 2nd year. I am going to be very sad when I leave the business. There is nothing like it!

for there are varying reasons as to why a lady is in this biz.  For some it is a short stint in order to pay their way through school or the like.  Some do it for the sheer enjoyment of it.

Given that tastes vary, I think the possibilities are endless on how long someone is in the biz.  Of course, there will be a time as age creeps up and the signs show that a lady will not command the type of $$$ that she will in her younger years, so a plan for retirement must be in the cards.  That is just common sense.

Hmmmmm....This situation is fasinating and can even be funny in a sordid way-that is, if it doesn't make you want to scream.
